Because it fits the Republican party narrative, and they know most of their supporters will believe the accusation and ignore the denial.Do you want to have an ideagasm? normiss 895 #7 November 16, 2018 I'm still confused over the number of refused votes, disqualified votes (especially based simply on a visual signature comparison), and the underfunded old machines that were breaking down being 2 minutes late with the results. Why not include and count all votes??? I don't think the numbers are close enough for the results to change, but I have a few friends that are pissed because their votes were thrown out.
Rick 67 #8 November 16, 2018 yeah the signature verification thing is bull shit I had to show my id and then she had to verify my signature. You just saw a picture id what does the signature verification do when you vote at the polls. But like you pointed out there are not enough of them to make a difference anyway so just concede the race already. All the are doing now is wasting our money and dragging out a foregone conclusion. Why is it always the same 2 counties that have issues? By some updated technology already. You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!
normiss 895 #9 November 16, 2018 The state provides funding, doesn't it? Or doesn't, in this case. Unreasonable time limits on machines incapable of completing the tabulations looks like gerrymandering sometimes. Those are 2 very large population counties in the state, with pretty much antique gear. Slated for replacement, with insecure technology. yay. Are we trying to compete with Georgia now? normiss 895 #11 November 16, 2018 Manual counting is resulting in votes being discarded. Either your address or signature is considered invalid in some cases.
Rick 67 #12 November 16, 2018 Palm Beach County Supervisor of elections Susan Bucher has repeatedly asked for additional funding to update antiquated voting machines and blasted state officials for not extending the deadline so the county can count every vote. She keeps getting turned down for funding to update the machines. Then she gets blasted because they cannot do the recount quick enough. edited to add link to article https://www.tcpalm.com/story/news/politics/elections/2018/11/12/florida-elections-palm-beach-county-recount-delays-caused-old-voting-machines/1975914002/You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early! RonD1120 62 #13 November 16, 2018 normiss Are we trying to compete with Georgia now? My wife and I are poll managers. All we require is a state-approved photo ID, which covers a huge list for acceptance. Signatures are required but not checked in order to receive the electronic ballot. Our machines stand alone and cannot be hacked. No one can be denied the right to vote. Anyone can vote provisionally, manual ballot, and it will be judged within three days. The basic requirement is to vote at the assigned precinct in the county where you are registered. The main problem we are having is that Stacy Abrams made a large registration push and registered people not eligible. She was caught.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. normiss 895 #16 November 16, 2018 How many thousands were removed from the polls for not have the right addresses? The ones they live at, have lived at, and have used in previous elections without issue, because it IS their correct address? How many had their polling locations changed on short notice that not everyone was made aware of? How many locations were overloaded because of hundreds of machines in storage or running on batteries?? Our democracy is dying at the hands of the current leadership. RonD1120 62 #20 November 17, 2018 rushmc***How many thousands were removed from the polls for not have the right addresses? All of them should be. Here in the mountains address discrepancies are common. In addition, many voters have the same name, with or without suffixes. We have two stops prior to voting. The first verifies the picture ID with the voter. The second stop called the express poll contains the database for the legally registered voters. The poll worker verifies the birthdate and then programs a voter chip card to be inserted in the actual voting machine.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. I'm not seeing anything in either of those stories about Abrams registering ineligible voters. I'm seeing a lot of new voters being subject to overzealous rejection of applications. By one of the candidates.
