I do not think the DOJ is part of the Deep State.
I agree with the DOJ and the Special Counsel.
I agree mostly with the DOJ position in these cases.
I agree with the DOJ and their opinion the president cannot pardon himself.

Pretty sure you cannot bring yourself to agree with the DOJ on those three issues, with at least one of them driven by the mystical Deep State.

Well, quite a few of the recent 'skirmishes' have gone to the liberals.

Governor in NJ & VA, Senator in AL, Congresscritter in PA. None of those had been in "D" hands for a long, long time.

In WI, the (R) Governor had to be forced (by a court order) to schedule special elections. He had refused to do so, fearing a 'Blue Wave' of resentment against the Rs.
His fear is not unfounded. I've never voted D in a major election. Not even in a statewide race.

But, after the shit show that has been the R party for the past 5 or so years, I will never vote R again.

The midterms should be interesting.

I think University campuses have gotten so bizarre that most people just can't imagine it. They had a movement to make hate speech a violation that would get you expelled and wanted to make any statements that supported Trump's candidacy hate speech. There was bickering over the graffiti wall where anyone is supposed to be able write anything. The head of one organization bragged that he hung out near it so he could beat up anyone who wrote hate speech, like "Vote Trump" in the name of peace. This was in a meeting attended by the President of the University who then shook his and everyone else's hand and congratulated them on their activism. But then had no problem with painting "kill all the cops".
Not that I expect anyone who doesn't want to believe these things to accept that they happen. Continously.

And no doubt almost all of the "offenders" are from the arts side of their various schools. They are doing their best to shock you, they have no power, only ideas. College is a great place to explore boundaries. Unfortunately, they don’t always figure out the right ones, any more than Marine DI’s always get it right in training recruits.

I’m raising children, they say that natural consequences are the best teachers. Parental hands aren’t natural consequences, they’re decisions. Of course, college students can make life-limiting decisions, but maybe that’s what should happen sometimes. Everyone can make life-limiting decisions, including “yeah, I’m good enough to jump that canopy.”

Oh, I can believe it. There’s probably more to the story, but self-righteous college students can have an impressively limited view of the world. They’re just learning how to think, and they realize they’re the first to do so in the history of humanity.

I can remember my outrage (at 17) that the dorms at my university were the men’s dorms and the girls’ dorms.

That’s where the “more tonthe story” comes in. The college that took down the US flag after President Trump was elected is about 10 miles away from me. That President did, in fact, approve the act, as well as true discussion about what the students meant by it, and when it was going back up again.

No one outside our area reported that part.
