BIGUN 1,489 #1 June 29, 2018 I sometimes wonder if having an eloquent stateswoman "like" Barbara Jordan would have meant a different outcome for the Democrats in 2016.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. wmw999 2,589 #2 June 29, 2018 Our view of people today is corrupted by the hugely increased scrutiny. Barbara Jordan today would probably be disqualified because she was overweight, and unmarried (lots of people saying she's gay). By the time she gave the articles of impeachment speech, she was suffering from (very early) multiple sclerosis, and that, too, would have been disqualifying. Hillary in those days would have still been resentful of the strictures that her gender put on her possibilities, but probably more accepting of it. I did some reading - she was always the best. Always. Intensely personally competitive, but in a "I want to be best" way, not in a "I'll push you down to make sure I'm best" way. There's a huge difference. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. TriGirl 343 #3 July 17, 2018 Where are the options for independents? ETA: I disagree that Clinton was an inelegant stateswoman. I thought she presented herself just fine, especially compared to many of the other candidates in the field. I was insulted by how she was characterized during the election.See the upside, and always wear your parachute! -- Christopher Titus Shut Up & Jump! [Polling Committee Auto-Reply] We're sorry that you did not review the poll results to see that greater than 90% of the respondents would disagree with you.
