billvon 3,131 #1 August 7, 2018 This is better than the Birther conspiracy; even better than Pizzagate! It's new, it's improved - it's Qanon. Qanon is yet another right wing conspiracy theory. And this time they didn't confine themselves to disputing a birth certificate or claiming that Clinton killed someone - nope, this has everything. And not just ignorance or racism or religious bigotry or fearmongering or xenophobia - all of them, in big heaping platefuls. Qanon refers to Q, an anonymous poster or groups of posters that are posting about this conspiracy. They claim to have Q-level clearance in the government (the highest level) and are "in the know." The conspiracy claims that Obama, Soros, Clinton, basically anyone they really hate in the "deep state", is involved in a plot to 1) overthrow the government while 2) running an international child sex ring. Other claims are: -The Mueller investigation was actually set up by Trump. That way he can act all afraid of it, but Mueller will secretly be investigating Soros (or Clinton, or Obama, or whoever.) That must be a relief for the Trumpies here. -Kim Jong Un is a CIA plant. -The Rothschild family runs a satanic cult. -Debbie Schultz hired MS-13 to kill Seth Rich. -Qanon lost the Alabama special election for Jeff Sessions’s Senate seat on purpose, in a long con to bring down Soros. So don't worry about the loss; all part of the plan. -The "deep state" opposes them (of course) because they are terrified of "losing their power." -Homeless camps are secret child sex ring bases. Especially if there are illegal immigrants there, who of course are the child brokers. Who is supporting them? Lots of Trump supporters; Qanon signs have started showing up in large numbers at Trump rallies. Alex Jones, of course. Roseanne Barr. Hannity gave them their start by retweeting one of their claims. Michael Lewis Arthur Meyer, who is a "veterans on patrol" leader, and who claimed to find a child's skull in the desert thus "proving" that the homeless were sex traffickers. Who is Q, really? There was a claim by Qanon followers that he was seen on Air Force One. Another claim is that he is Robert F. Kennedy (who faked his own death of course.) Some think Q is Trump. So strap in, rationals! This will be a fun ride. It will be Pizzagate all over again, but this time double top secret.

billvon 3,131 #5 August 7, 2018 A few fine, upstanding leaders of the Qanon movement in the news: Matthew Wright, who took a rifle and a handgun and barricaded himself in his car on the Hoover Dam, holding a sign reading "RELEASE THE OIG MEMO." This referred to a secret "second report" by the Inspector General that "would send virtually every high-level Democrat to Guantanamo Bay." He is now in jail facing terrorism and weapons charges. A stalker who stood outside Michael Avenatti's office with a knife, then retreated and posted "a message has been sent" on a Qanon account. Also I forgot to mention a few other beliefs of these fine people. One is that Hillary Clinton is a cannibal and drinks the blood of children. Another is that democrats are working with pharmaceutical companies to enslave the US. (Hey, don't laugh - it would explain Dennis Rodman.) And of course that it was Clinton and Obama who were REALLY conspiring with Russia, but that's been done before. An interview with a Qanon supporter at a Trump rally: Interviewer: So you don’t have any proof that [Qanon exists?] Supporter: And you don’t have any proof it isn’t. There hasn’t been any non-evidence yet. You guys are totally weaponized by the CIA. Interviewer: Is it possible you’re believing bogus information? Supporter: Let’s see, Q, let’s see. Somehow this sounds like a troll challenge, where bored college students sit around and concoct the most far fetched narrative to see if it will fly when they post it. Its kind of fun to do, playing with the very gullible, but it can backfire nastily in practice. Gullible people are often quite dangerous in practice, and one should set them off with care. jakee 1,608 #13 August 25, 2018 Here's what I don't get about Qanon - so there's a vast child sex trafficking conspiracy involving almost every branch of the government and a massive network of the rich, powerful and famous... and yet Trump the celebrity chaser, the billionaire politician from a family of billionaires, the documented sexual predator and child ogler.... is not part of it. It's odd.Do you want to have an ideagasm?
