Jerry Baumchen I think he will be dead by 20202I think there is a world of hurt coming Trump's way, and not all of it from Mueller either. I agree. SkyDekker 1,465 #3 September 5, 2018 JerryBaumchenHi folks, I am thinking that Trump will decide to not run again in 20202. So, what say you? Jerry Baumchen I am torn on this. His ego won't allow him to not run. So he is going to need a big win to hang his hat on. Not sure what that is going to be.
billvon 3,121 #4 September 5, 2018 >I am torn on this. His ego won't allow him to not run. That's the issue. He doesn't make intelligent decisions based on realistic outcomes; he makes decisions based on what he thinks his ratings will look like. And he would not be able to stand seeing someone else run and win.
JerryBaumchen 1,470 #5 September 5, 2018 Hi Bill, QuoteAnd he would not be able to stand seeing someone else run and win. This why I think he will decide not to run again. I think that the Republican party is going to have quite a lot of people running for the nomination in 2020. Trump will see that his days are numbered & will take the easy way out. ryoder 1,590 #6 September 5, 2018 JerryBaumchen Trump will see that his days are numbered & will take the easy way out. That would require seeing reality, which Trump cannot perceive. LBJ saw there was no possibility of a favorable outcome in Vietnam, so he didn't run. Nixon saw he was defeated, so he resigned. Trump is too fuggin' stupid to make such decisions."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. billvon 3,121 #7 September 5, 2018 >Trump will see that his days are numbered But he doesn't; that's the thing. He really believes he is the best president ever. Today he tweeted that "Almost everyone agrees that my Administration has done more in less than two years than any other Administration in the history of our Country." More than Lincoln. More than JFK. More than Washington. Further, he thinks that "almost everyone agrees" with that. If almost everyone agrees that his administration is the best ever, how could he possibly lose re-election? Don't forget, this is a man who fires anyone who does not tell him what he wants to hear. He gets all his information about the world from Fox and Friends. He doesn't read. He doesn't listen to briefings or aides. He walks out of meetings when they're not "interesting." His aides actively steal things from his desk if they fear that the information will send him in a dangerous direction. So he won't see anything like that. He'll "see" that he is the most popular president ever, and he can't lose as long as the people have their say.
BIGUN 1,492 #8 September 6, 2018 Quote I think he will be dead by 20202 I'm fairly confident we will all be dead by then and perhaps even the planet. Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

DJL 235 #10 September 6, 2018 I've previously said that I don't think Trump has another run in him and the smart move would be to bow out while he can take credit for all the good stuff during his Presidency leaving the next President to deal with the long term damage. HOWEVER. America should be prepared for the fact that Trump, regardless of how much of a clown he is, has a HUGE and GROWING following of people who did not vote for him before but WILL vote for him in 2020 because of the economic gains we've seen these last two years. It would not surprise me in the least do see Democrats again fail to show up in numbers adequate to overcome this. This failure could lead to yet another SC nomination that will affect the future of this country for the next 50 years."I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
