Vaughan Williams in "Pressed Rat and Warthog" (Cream)

Recommended Posts

So As I drove along I-80 today I was listening to the Wheels of Fire album (1968) by Cream. At the end of Pressed Rat and Warthog I thought the bass line was kind of familiar. The last 20 seconds are lifted straight from Vaughan Williams' English Folksong Suite (the theme is found in both Seventeen Come Sunday and My Bonny Boy).

Fascinating.
