jet lag sucks so effin bad...

Recommended Posts

I love traveling, but man I hate jet lag. I am so insanely frustrated!

Anyone up for some witty banter until the sun rises and I fall asleep?

ok, fine. forget it. I see that it is Friday night for most of you and you are out doing way cooler stuff than pacing an empty apartment while being both sleep deprived and unable to sleep.

Grrr. I wish I were out with you guys.

oh, dude, so good to hear from you :)
yes, I was with Mom. I learned trapeze flying while I was there B|

the way I see it, if the whole new business doesn't work out, maybe there's still work for me in a circus somewhere...

I meant to stuff my bag with drug store stuff, but sadly, the Jiff peanut butter and Reeses took up too much space. No room left for Tylonol Pm.

Beer I have. It's 5:52 am and I am drinking a beer hoping to get some sleep before I meet a friend in 12 hours.

Ugh.

Wow, thanks!

The ice bar is something I would love to visit. We are working on a similar concept, but reduced in size -- ice sculptures, ice plates and glasses, etc. Hopefully a cool effect.

I was there competing in the now defunct SSI Pro Tour in 96 or 97. We stayed at the Hotel Cailler in Charmey. They didn't like some of the skydivers after that week. I remember driving through Chateau d'Oex on the way. We partied at some town that starts with an F... thinking... nope, can't remember. I believe it was a college town. There's about 150 towns that start with an F so I may never remember.

It's such a beautiful place. If it works out I'll come visit Switzerland again this year.

Edit: The town was Frieberg. It had a great 2 story bar with a small stage.

Pro Tour was held at www.epco.aero my dopzone but I didn't jump at that time... Charmey is just a couple miles from it... Yes the town is Fribourg and I guess the bar might have been the Macumba... Biggest night club around. Now there is "some" nightlife in Bull ewhich is much closer:)

Anyways people around are not ready for skydivers partying :|:D:D. When you're around, or when you plan on coming PM me...

Will do...

Ah yes ... Fribourg. I was close! My team mate Brad had black and white checkered patch pants that match the Fribourg flag. He was a big hit and didn't know why until later. He ended up dancing with the entertainment (scantily clad woman) up on the stage in that bar. Most people thought he was part of the act.

The landing zone was in front of the hotel. Get this, they had a group of Alpenhorn players that would play as soon as we approached and we swooped over top of them each time.

We didn't hang out at your dz much because we were bussed there only for take off.

Most of us don't even realize places like that even exist. Here's a picture from hookturn.net

If you have any photos of that area, I encourage you to post some on a different thread. You live in a great land. If any one needs more cowbell, go vist piisfish.
