Your post mentioning "Lock him up" was clearly a reference to Hillary.

Yes, I did reference how she was vilified. I'm also referencing the general attempt in the right wing media and the Trump camp in general to change the subject. You may not be part of that trend, but it's out there. My 30 minute break is over, time to roll down the IN turnpike for a while!

FBI Director Wray on Rob Porter background check:
Submitted partial report in March
Completed background investigation in late July
Received request for follow up, provided info in Nov.
Closed the file in Jan.
Received and passed on new info earlier this month

I think he's saying the White House is lying.
Again.

Apparently, after the FBI made their final report on Porter to the White House (including the abuse allegations) he was then considered for a promotion to deputy chief of staff. According to chief of staff Kelly, "Porter was one of the few competent professionals on his staff." Which I believe, based on who else is in the White House now.

>Sarah is still insisting the FBI didn't report that information to the White
>House until November.

But her phrasing is changing slightly. After being questioned again on that, she said "I can only give you the best information I have."

In the first post of the Russiagate thread I noted that Rence Priebus was getting very careful in how he phrased his denials:

==========================
Asked if he could say for sure that there were no contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia, Priebus couldn’t, instead offering, “I don’t represent the campaign,” before repeating that the reports are exaggerated.
==========================

This, of course, was shortly before he was shown the door. So perhaps Sarah is preparing herself for her untimely departure; with phrases like the above she can later claim "look, I made it clear that I was doing the best I could with what limited information I was given."

Sarah is still insisting the FBI didn't report that information to the White House until November.
I can't even with this administration.

She's shutting down reporters on their questioning.

The thing with her is that because, by any conventional measure, she is so incredibly unsuited to the role she's actually getting away with a lot more than Spicer ever did. She so boring, so humourless, so utterly devoid of personality that no-one can even be bothered to engage her on the lies because there's no payoff there.

I stil have no sympathy for Spicer but at least you could tell he knew that he was in the wrong with the most egregious lies - and then the journos could get a rise out of him by pushing on it and that engagement would help the story. SHS just doesn't care. The difference between truth and falsehood is simply irrelevant to her, and where do you go in the face of that?
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

What a hour of deadpanned lying using the podium of the POTUS should have some humor to break up the questions?

A reporter asked a White House official if Kelly could have been more truthful about the Porter issue. He said “In this White House, it’s simply not in our DNA. Truthful and transparent is great, but we don’t even have a coherent strategy to obfuscate.”

>SHS just doesn't care. The difference between truth and falsehood is simply irrelevant to her . .

That may be changing. She now wants Kelly to talk directly. (Not evidence that she wants the truth out, but perhaps evidence that she is tired of doing all the lying herself.)

Sanders pushes for Kelly to face the press over Porter scandal

Sarah Huckabee Sanders wants senior officials to brief reporters directly as the furor continues unabated.

By DARREN SAMUELSOHN 02/14/2018
Politico

Nine days into the Rob Porter scandal, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is pushing for senior officials who made the decisions surrounding the former White House staff secretary's security clearance to take over the task of explaining—and defending—those decisions to the public.

Since Tuesday, when FBI director Chris Wray in testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee contradicted her account of how Porter’s background check was handled, Sanders has moved to have White House counsel Don McGahn or chief of staff John Kelly brief the press directly, according to a person close to the White House.

It's official. A Nazi is the GOP nominee for the Chicago house race.

Holocaust denier is officially the GOP nominee in Chicago-area House race

GOP candidate: 'Yes, I deny the Holocaust'

Washington (CNN) - A Holocaust denier is now officially the Republican nominee in a Chicago-area House race after running unopposed in Tuesday's primary.

Arthur Jones' campaign website includes a section titled "Holocaust?" and he has been involved with anti-Semitic and racist groups since the 1970s, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
The Illinois Republican Party denounced Jones' campaign earlier this year, saying there is "no place for Nazis like Arthur Jones" in the GOP or the country.

"The Illinois Republican Party and our country have no place for Nazis like Arthur Jones. We strongly oppose his racist views and his candidacy for any public office, including the 3rd Congressional District," Illinois Republican Party Chairman Tim Schneider said previously in a statement.

Hat guy can always drown his sorrows with deplorable Josh Hall: (no not _that_ Josh Hall)

Don't mess with Cousin Angela

By TheGrio - April 27, 2018

Trump supporter Josh Hall decided to type tough on Twitter earlier this week and call Angela Rye “straight out of the ghetto.”

. . .

He typed “Amanda Carpenter nailed it on CNN – @angela_rye loves labeling every Republican on the face of the earth as racist when in reality the 0.01% of “Republicans” who call themselves white supremacists are actually Nazis. ‘Cousin Angela’ is the true racist – straight outta the ghetto!”

I was pondering on where to put this.

I think it goes well here.

The Mango Mussolini has a new admirer.

Kanye West.

Nevermind that Trump has the support of the KKK.
Nevermind that the staff at his casinos reportedly 'hid' black people so that Trump wouldn't have to see them.

I guess they both need inordinate amounts of attention.
They are both self-proclaimed 'geniuses'.

Oh my.

Apparently Mr. Piatek is such a Trump fan that his alleged "religion" also condones lying when it is convenient:

The Happiest Hour denied that Piatek had been removed in the first place, stating Piatek “was sufficiently pleased with his service at the bar [and] that he added” a $36 tip onto the $186 tab, according to The New York Post. The bar owners suggest Piatek’s lawsuit was a “publicity stunt.”

I do not agree with the judge on that one at all. Can't deny service because someone thinks differently than you do.

He didn't. He denied service because he was wearing a "MAGA" hat. He was told to remove the hat or leave.

That hat expresses a political stance. One than many find 'deplorable.'

Would you feel the same way about a place denying service to someone wearing, say, a Swastika shirt? (obviously, if the Nazi removed the shirt, he might no longer have a shirt on, so would fall under the 'no shirt' rule).

I was wondering about that. Can bars in New York tell people to leave based on something like this if it weren't Trump related? Does this happen?

Ever hear of a place requiring men wear a jacket and tie?
Or a bar refusing to allow bike club guys to wear their 'colors'?

As long as the same rules apply to everyone, this sort of dress code is usually legal.

So you think a bar should not be allowed to put up a "No Colors Allowed" sign?
(Referring to motorcycle club colors)

ETA I see WRJ beat me to the post.

Nazis Thrown Out Of Portland's Lucky Lab Beer Hall

By Corey Pein | Published March 15, 2017

WW has obtained footage of a tense standoff between a group of self-professed Nazis and the outnumbered Sunday-night shift at a neighborhood bar, the Lucky Lab Beer Hall in Northwest Portland.

On March 12, the Lucky Lab staff eighty-sixed a group calling themselves "national socialists"—that is, Nazis—who had been recruiting at the bar. The group refused to leave and peppered staff with anti-gay slurs until police were called.

Piatek’s attorney, Paul Liggieri, told the court, “The purpose of the hat is that he wore it because he was visiting the 9/11 Memorial.”

“He was paying spiritual tribute to the victims of 9/11. The Make America Great Again hat was part of his spiritual belief.”

Wearing a hat into a bar doesn't seem a very appropriate tribute to me. And the 9/11 Memorial is not located in a bar.
