my stepfather went from diagnosis to dead in less than 3 months with glioblastoma. nasty cancer with pretty much 0 survival rate. At least McCain (and my stepfather) had full lives and lived to a ripe old age.

I read up a bit on that particular cancer, and it sounds dismal;
3 month life expectancy w/o treatment.
12 months with treatment.

It is sad news, I have always held Sen. McCain in high regard and respect.

He is a veteran, suffered as a pow, and I think he maintained a strong sense of civility and bipartisanship through most of his time serving the country in congress.

After hearing him questioning Comey I feared he had some sort of neurological condition that he was dealing with.

My aunt does from this just a little over a year ago.

I wish John McCain and his family strength and hopefully an ability to find peace.

My positive opinion of him was cemented after these exchanges. A solid man it would seem.
