billvon 3,131 #1 July 12, 2017 Nowadays it seems like no one regrets Clinton's loss to Trump more than Republicans. They seem unable to govern; the abysmal failure of the latest iteration of Trumpcare is just the most recent example. They are regularly angered by a press who refuses to gloss over their failures and ongoing controversies. But what they can do is attack Clinton and her organization. It's the one thing they are really good at. And when all you have is a hammer, well, that's what you want to use. Trump yesterday: "Why aren't the same standards placed on the Democrats. Look what Hillary Clinton may have gotten away with. Disgraceful!" GOP tweets: "Our healthcare system is collapsing, but Democrats refuse to bring anything to the table. Where’s THEIR plan?" "Where's your plan, @HillaryClinton?" (btw, answer to that is "on her website.") Trump as he was bending over for Putin at the G20: "Everyone here is talking about why John Podesta refused to give the DNC server to the FBI and the CIA. Disgraceful!" No, they're not; they are talking about you. It's interesting to note that this comes up whenever Trump is in trouble. Back in April, when the Russiagate investigation was just getting started, he tweeted "Did Hillary Clinton ever apologize for receiving the answers to the debate? Just asking!" Trump, like so many Republicans, desperately wants Clinton as a punching bag. I have a feeling a lot of them are wishing she was president right now, because they could be doing the one thing they are good at, instead of trying to do what they are worst at. yoink 321 #2 July 12, 2017 It's Trumpism 101. When you're attacked, attack back. If you can't do that then shift the blame or simply deny everything calling it a conspiracy. If it's not Clinton's fault than it's definitely Obama's. Or the other Clinton's. And if it's not theirs then it's the Democrats, or the liberals, or the Mexicans. FUCK those Mexicans for not getting the healthcare bill passed.
jakee 1,609 #3 July 12, 2017 Funny how one of the tweets was regurgitating his argument that when you hear the words "sources say" from the Fake Media, often times those sources are made up and do not exist.... in response to Don Jr's emails confirming exactly what the sources said. So if the sources didn't exist, how did the NYT know about it at all? If it was just a wild stab in the dark then the accuracy was miraculous! Do you want to have an ideagasm? billvon 3,131 #4 July 13, 2017 > in response to Don Jr's emails confirming exactly what the sources said. NYT reporting on emails - "fake news" "WITCH HUNT!" "failing NYT" Don Jr releasing same emails - "My son is a high quality person and I applaud his transparency."
