airdvr 210 #1 January 22, 2017 that perhaps the reason the progressives are so upset is they realize they blew it on election day by not voting. After all there was no way Trump was going to defeat HRC.Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
SethInMI 174 #2 January 23, 2017 I suspect you are just trying to be funny, and there is nothing wrong with that, but on the off chance you are partly serious, I should point out the obvious that you are wrong. Other than DC, the largest rallies were in California and New York, with Illinois and Seattle Wash, Massachusets with large rallies too, and democrats won all those states, so if democrat voter turnout was higher, it would not have mattered. I strongly suspect that if someone cared enough to go to a rally they would have voted. I know two people who went to DC and one to our state capitol, and all voted. Now maybe when you say "progressives are upset" you mean people other than those going to rallies? If you are a democrat in a red state and didn't vote, then yes I suspect you are feeling guilty, but I think those are not the people you are seeing on the news. It's flare not flair, brakes not breaks, bridle not bridal, "could NOT care less" not "could care less". wmw999 2,593 #4 January 23, 2017 Like the protests and hangings in effigy after Obama was elected the first time? Like the military about whom people were saying "none of them respect the President?" Like them? Trump was inaugurated three days ago. There haven't been nearly as many threats to assassinate. Those were empty threats against Obama, but they were there. Both my kids are in the military but many of their friends growing up were snot nose rich kids. http://college.usatoday.com/2016/11/09/how-we-voted-by-age-education-race-and-sexual-orientation/Please don't dent the planet. wmw999 2,593 #7 January 24, 2017 The "snot nosed rich kids" in my extended family are all gainfully employed in real jobs. One is a liberal firebrand, and blogs and podcasts, in addition to a full-time job. The others are bankers, doctors, lawyers, nurses, salespeople, soldiers -- i.e. normal employed people. There are a number of grandchildren in there. This extended family consists of nearly 20 children of siblings, cousins and in-laws. Note that the vast majority were raised by liberals. I think it's easy to talk about an entire "entitled" generation based on some noteworthy examples. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it.
