So the new right wing policy should be to aggressively intervene in the process of the free market in order to make everyday goods much more expensive? You must be so happy that you have the Whitehouse now, so you can do all the things you accused the previous occupant of wanting to do... I don't know the answer. You seem to think it can't happen. I was thinking a pool or "over/under" on how long it takes the new president to be impeached. Well he has been sued already since becoming president. Given midterms that show a new awakening of voters to trumpism. " Trumpism A gospel politicians preach to instill fear in locals: illegals are bringing crime and robbing their jobs, and radicals among Muslim refugees are terrorizing the "infidels." Although Trumpism arguably promotes extreme nationalism, anti-globalization, xenophobia, and Islamophobia, however, many politicians in the developed world secretly endorse this divisive doctrine to guard against crime and terrorism." That trump will likely refuse to forgive, forget and move on from any republicans in the house or senate that vote against him. I would say his welcome would be worn out in two and a half years. With an impeachment for ethics violations of trump business and conflicts of interests, thereafter.

There's a lawsuit being filed over that. Less than a week in office, and he's facing it. And on the "Alternative Facts" thing, Trump is still claiming that "massive voter fraud" is why HRC won the popular vote. Spicer claims there is "evidence" (but won't produce it), Rs in congress are basically telling Trump to cut it out. CBS news led the evening news with a statement to the effect of "Trump's False Claim of Voter Fraud" (watching it now). I don't think anybody is going to believe much of what Spicer says anymore."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." After reading and following this story I am beginning to think that Trump's presidency is going to be far worse that I, or most of us imagined. It is becoming more and more clear that the "elites" were correct about the man. I had assumed that it was mostly an act. Because somehow he did actually build a business empire. And how could he have done that if he was crazy? His shortcomings are already obvious. The damage he will do is unknown, as is the end game. But it looks unlikely to go on for four years.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. And how could he have done that if he was crazy? His shortcomings are already obvious. The damage he will do is unknown, as is the end game. But it looks unlikely to go on for four years. Well, he didn't really "build" a business empire. At least not by himself. He inherited his wealth. He used his dad to get some really favorable terms early on. And he's destroyed a whole lot of companies. There are some of his tax returns from the 90s that have been leaked. He declared losses so big that the form didn't have enough spaces for all of the digits. He bankrupted casinos in Atlantic City. The list of his failures is long. None of this is secret or new. Its all been out there from the beginning. But the Trumpeters ignored it. Or chose to believe it was "fake news." Or decided that HRC's behavior was worse. Edit to add: I'm not too worried about what Trump's "investigation" will bring about. As I noted above, the CBS evening news called it "False" in the opening statement and in the story (I think they used the word 'fake' or 'false' a dozen times or so). Even the Rs in congress are saying "cut it out". Lindsay Graham is basically saying "put up or shut up." Any real investigation will need some actual facts. You know, real ones, not "alternative" ones."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." It's the way the man is so unhinged over this that is so telling. Oh, absolutely. Pretty much everything the "elites" said about him is coming to pass. He's unfit to be President in a multitude of ways. The poll I did a few weeks ago about him finishing his term seemed to show that people thought he would last. Odds of that in various places seem to be dropping some. I am starting to doubt that he will last 6 months. Impeachment, lawsuit (that would have to lead to an impeachment), or he simply "loses it" and the 25th gets invoked."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." gowlerk 2,251 #49 January 25, 2017 QuoteThe poll I did a few weeks ago about him finishing his term seemed to show that people thought he would last. Yes, I was one of those who thought so. Replacing Trump, if it happens, will be a two edged sword. The sooner it happens the better off your country will be, if it must happen. But it will take a true crisis to bring it about. If it happens it will be very messy and even more divisive than his election. I believe it would be better if he succeeds. Some of the changes he is talking about could be positives if they were implemented with care and in a rational way. But they require skilled leadership. And it is starting to look like there is no chance that the man is capable of providing it. Or standing back and relying on subordinates to make up for some of his shortcomings.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
