Right. Except the news was correct at the time. Even the title was correct at the time. It just wasn't favourable of your particular party affiliation, so clearly the journalists should be blamed.

Let's reserve the term "fake news" for stories which are actually fake.

The headline wasn't "fake," just poorly written.

I don't think so. Using terms like "gutted" is unnecessary.

Unnecessary in YOUR opinion, maybe, but accurate, however. And therefore not "fake".
...
