Trump Promises a Revelation on Hacking

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — President-elect Donald J. Trump, expressing lingering skepticism about intelligence assessments of Russian interference in the election, said on Saturday evening that he knew “things that other people don’t know” about the hacking, and that the information would be revealed “on Tuesday or Wednesday.”

It will be interesting to see what things his experts (I assume he doesn't do his own computer forensics) have uncovered that counter the official US intelligence agencies analysis of this. ;)

In fact, I'll be very curious to see how his experts have even been able to look at the data.

Trump is a lying liar. He will have nothing of any value to say.

Well, he didn't explicitly say that he knew something about the hacking, he just said he knew something;)

He might have been talking about the hacking, but the way his ADD brain hops from subject to subject he might have been talking about what he had for lunch.

I'd have have expected unanimous reaction against a foreign dictator manipulating a US election. Especially from people who wear flag pins.

Wait you uh, you thought he was serious?;)

Don't be the Charlie Brown to his Lucy, he's always going to pull the football away...:P

Whether he's to be taken serious or not, whether he pulls the football away or not, he needs to be held accountable for every word he utters or tweets.

I don't really care what his intention is, it should not now nor ever be acceptable for politicians to blatantly lie to the American public.

A misstatement or slip, sure, I can forgive almost anyone that (I'll still make fun of professionals who do it though), but it is a breach of trust and ought to be criminal for politicians to outright lie in statements to the public.

OK, but reality here - he won't be. He will have the numeric advantage; he can tweet far faster than anyone can question him. And that's assuming he allows questioning - so far his strategy is to just refuse to answer most questions.

So get set for strings of rambling, often nonsensical tweets. Other people are preparing for this; I recently read a story (can't find it now) that describes how companies like Google now have someone awake all night monitoring his tweets, so that if Trump tweets "Google refuses to support American values; SAD!" they can wake the executives to start damage control sooner rather than later.

Yeah, we've talked about his volume of tweets and statements before.

As for monitoring twitter 24/7, I'm not surprised and it's easy enough to do automatically. Any company ought to be doing it and pretty much always should have.

Back in the day, I worked for a company that had a guy who went through about 20 different newspapers a day and made a news clip briefing book for the execs. Smart move really for the time.

But as I said, all of that typical publicity office work you'd normally give to the new kid, well, that pretty much ought to all be automated now.

No need to pay a person to stay awake, there is an app for that:

I believe it was that he now sort of accepts that the Russians helped :|
