Russia swayed US election

Recommended Posts

I think they would rather blame Russia then blame themselves or an insider ( which is pretty much the same thing ).

Even if Russia did it, it's still their own fault for not securing their email. Especially Hillary since she didn't follow standard security protocol.

Un-fucking believable. Never in my life did I think I would see Americans siding to protect Russia against the unanimous opinion of the United States Intelligence community and government.

********* No evidence has been provided to support this..

Just because the US intelligence community chooses not to divulge its methods and technical capabilities to YOU, terrorists and hostile nations, doesn't mean no evidence exists.

They do provide evidence to the relevant committees of both Senate and House, members of which have security clearances.

Sometimes we just have to believe that even Republican congresspersons do their jobs.

I don't think they have provided any evidence to anyone.

Just because you THINK that doesn't make it true.

Read the article a little more carefully. In particular, the second paragraph.

Quote

While the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) does not dispute the CIA's analysis of Russian hacking operations, it has not endorsed their assessment because of a lack of conclusive evidence that Moscow intended to boost Trump over Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, said the officials, who declined to be named.

They're in agreement that Russia hacked it -- fact.
They haven't agreed on what Russia's intentions might have been in doing so.

Whether the intention was to simply destroy Clinton or to put Trump in office is sort of moot since doing one ensures the other.

From the article which it seems like you didn't read: "ODNI is not arguing that the agency (CIA) is wrong, only that they can't prove intent," said one of the three U.S. officials. "Of course they can't, absent agents in on the decision-making in Moscow."

What he's saying is that much like the FBI operates on the basis of intelligence for the purpose of prosecution, the CIA can't prove intent without some kind of confession. That's all beside the point of their opinion and the new course of action.

Again, why are you siding with ....FUCKING RUSSIA????

It has always been about the intent IMO!!!

And in the end it makes little difference because the info leaked was FACT!! The only one who tried to say the info was manipulated was Brazil and her helping Hillary cheat during the debates. The rest have not been denied!

Hillary her campaign manager did it to themselves.

Did Russia sway the election? Not in my estimate.

The Dems and Hillary did it to themselves. FACT

Sounds like they wanted to mess things up, and show that the US doesn't work all that well. If it elects someone who is more sympathetic to Prince Vlad, all the better, but the main purpose is to sow discontent.

Just as some people can only feel good about themselves if they can know exactly who they're better than (and pushing them down is a perfectly acceptable way to know who that is), the same is true about countries, which are, after all, made up of people.

It's a mighty weak person who has to know to whom they're superior. It doesn't matter; you are who you are.

Have you read the title to this thread.

In the end it does not matter who got the info, how they got it and how it was passed on. That happened. We all know that.

The claim is the Russian swayed the election.

Bull shit.

Hillary and Podesta did it to themselves. THAT IS A FACT!

By being liars, conspiring with the media, cheating during debates, talking down to women, the LGBT community, minorities and on and on. (from DNC emails)

Which goes to show you that when the Dems call R's bigots and worse they are just projecting.

THIS is what got Hillary beat.
Russia had nothing to do with it.....

>That's the best you've got? Lindsey Graham?

Nope. I've also got the CIA, FBI and NSA. What do you have? Because the most coherent explanation I have heard here is that Hillary is a corrupt slimy piece of shit and deserved to lose, and I want to see no evidence to the contrary.

Well, it's not all Americans; it's a subset of the extreme right. Keep in mind that these come from the same pool of people who became Gaddafi supporters because Clinton orchestrated his downfall.

I'm sorry...I thought you were looking for something of substance...you know...actual proof. In that case you don't have the CIA, FBI, and NSA. You don't even have Senator Graham.

Now, what was your point again?

Hey, look who is up next. Seems like other people in the world care about Russian interference a little more than right wing skydivers who who care more about internet arguments than the security of their country.

Hopefully, their voters are smarter than ours (oooh, passive agressive burn).

you are so confused

No one I know is saying Russia does not commit cyber warfare.

No one I know is saying the US does not either.

The effect is the topic in this thread.

This is like saying nobody dies from being shot by a gun, only from loss of blood and if they had simply worn body armor it wouldn't be an issue.

You're being ridiculous.

No
It does not fit the narrative you need as to why Hillary lost.

The Russians may or may not have hacked the DNC and Hillary and Podesta.

Whether they did or did not means nothing when looking at who won the election.

I think this Russia bs is a distraction at best.

Time will tell.

Yeah, was reading other articles just as you posted this.

It's the equivalent to an old school cold war slap on the wrist. Ejecting "diplomats" (which, let's face it tend to be the government's "official cover" spies and handlers, and this is true pretty much no matter what country you're talking about) for getting caught at bad actions, is an old tradition. Pretty much every country expects that.

I was hoping for something with a bit more teeth in it, but this is perhaps as far as they can go publicly.
