With hurricane Matthew bearing down on them, and much of the state evacuating, Marco Rubio had an important emergency email (with embedded video) for his constituents yesterday. This disaster is "pouring . . into Florida." It was an "all hands on deck" emergency; if people didn't prepare, Floridian's "way of life could be gone for good". Their "future depends on it."

More news on the evacuation? Last minute shelter-in-place instructions? Notes to prevent storm damage to homes and buildings? Nope, he was asking for money.

Hello this is Senator Marco Rubio.

First let me thank you for taking the time to listen to my message.

As you know we are facing the most important election of our lifetime. if we lose this election, our way of life could be gone for good.

And that's why I'm recording this special message just for you today, and I hope and pray that you'll respond right away.
