FBI Clinton Email Dump - 09-02-2016

Recommended Posts

It's an opinion piece, and the sub-headline suggests that the FBI thinks she is criminal - when in fact they have already determined that she is not.

I have an opinion piece. I think Trump has a wife that worked illegally in the USA. I think Trump donated to the Clinton Foundation at the same time that he alleges wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation. I think Trump is openly cheating on his taxes yet will not disclose his tax returns.

That is my opinion....
http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/05/donald-trump-tax-returns-2016-213901
...maybe the headline therefore should read "Evidence of IRS criminal wrongdoing by Trump, FBI and IRS not doing anything about it"

just as accurate and just as valid. All of it meaningless tripe.

Wrong. The subtext of the recommendation not to indict was not that there was no criminality, but that it was not worth prosecuting her. Big difference.

So Trump is a douchebag as well. That does not make Hillary one iota less odious.

***Mistakes were made. Sure. Was any of it intentional?

I would argue that she instructed someone to install a personal server.

So, let me get this straight . . .

You believe, Hillary Clinton, set up a personal server (which is untrue it was set up at the request of Bill after leaving office and she simply used it) with the intention of giving classified documents to foreign agents?

Because that's what it appears to be you're saying.

To answer you directly and to take away any sense of "appearance."

Specifically, here is what I'm saying. THE lowest level person at the State Department KNOWS that you keep your work product on your work server and your personal emails on your personal server and do not commingle the two. THE lowest level person at the State Department KNOWS that you do not delete any work product emails off your work server. The same is true for most government agencies including the VA (Along with the classification and distribution of emails).

The HIGHEST person at the State Department deleted some ~30,000 emails off a personal server that contained work product - And then plays the "I don't know" card.

The LOWEST person at the State Department would have been indicted. The HIGHEST person gets a pass.

Even when Petraeus committed his crime he had the balls to admit his guilt, take his punishment, lose his position, tarnish a long history of military service and lose the respect of his superiors, peers and subordinates... Had more integrity in the end than the "I didn't know, Queen."

Hope this sets the record straight on what I'm saying.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Considering the last three SOS used a similar personal server, I'm not sure your premise is true.

The shocking truth about the last two Republican secretaries of state has finally come out: Colin Powell and aides to Condoleezza Rice trafficked in classified information on their personal email accounts. This is an enormous scandal! Oh, wait. No, it’s not.

http://www.newsweek.com/2016/02/19/colin-powell-emails-hillary-clinton-424187.html

Please read this from the "liberal" Washington Post.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/09/02/12-things-i-learned-from-the-fbi-report-on-hillary-clintons-private-email-server/

And, given the final decision not to prosecute - the matter is moot and I'm only left with my opinion.
Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

Here is THE key sentence in all of this;

Quote

knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available to an unauthorized person”

.
(emphasis mine)

The problem for prosecution is to PROVE she intended to let anything fall into the wrong hands.

Mistakes were made. Sure. Was any of it intentional?

Perhaps you (general "you" not Paul specifically) could address these points:
1: How many devices were supposed to be involved in the servers use?

2: (Similar question). What was the reason given for the ultimate end use of the server?

3: What as the public told was ON the server, what was the content?

4: Why would devices being used to access that server be destroyed by hammers if there was nothing incriminating or suspicious?

Finally, this is an old question, and probably a bit personal, but consider and answer if you can:

If your wife, when asked to show you her cell phone, walks into the bathroom and destroys her phone, and her iPad, with a hammer, what would you think?

If your wife, when asked to show you her cell phone,

Why would you ask that to begin with?

The whole email server thing was poor decision making, which she agrees with and has apologized for. I also think it has gotten blown way out of proportion to be made into something it isn't.

Even if it was just done to make her life easier so she could get more work done in less time. There was a time people would have lauded that as inventive, making sure what needed to get done got done, entrepreneurial, etc.

She also wasn't the first to do this.

>The shocking truth about the last two Republican secretaries . . . .

Interesting difference in tone between this article and most articles about Clinton:

"Where did Powell and Rice’s staff have their servers? Who knows, and who cares? Maybe they were private with special security and no public access. Or maybe they were just an AOL server. . . ."

"Powell may have made one mistake in all this. He has said he never backed up his emails or printed them out; that was necessary to comply with some of the preservation rules detailed in the Federal Register."

So he made that mistake. And they don't know which servers he used. But that's OK; after all, he was a Republican. And come on! It's just a minor mistake managing his email.

>Why do you think that is OK?

That was sarcasm, as you know.

>I certainly don't.

Good. Then you will, I hope, stop defending him. From a previous post of yours:

"When did either of them have their own personal email server, knowing that it would be an issue if the info got out, yet went ahead with them anyway . . . Just because it was easier? "

BOMBSHELL! New Hillary email uncovered that will end her bid for the presidency! She managed to keep it hidden for years, but now the people will see her for what she is. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Let's see her lie her way out of THIS email from a former US ambassador!

=================
Please extend to the Secretary my congratulations for her testimony today before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. I watched with great admiration as she dealt with a tough and personally painful issue in a fair, candid and determined manner. I was especially impressed by her ability to turn aside the obvious efforts to politicize the events in Benghazi, reminding Americans of the tremendous sacrifice made by Chris Stevens and his colleagues but also insisting that our ability to play a positive role in the world and protect U.S. interests requires a willingness to take risks. I am thankful for her leadership, proud of her commitment to the Foreign Service, and honored to be part of her team.
==================

Wait - what?

Why is everyone talking about emails, anyway? Why is the left wing media so focused on all her emails when there are so many other bad things she did? Why the bias? Why the distraction? O the humanity!

That was likely taken from a misinformation website like Media Maters.
I see them all the time on other social media outlets.

It is simply a symptom of the times we live in WRT truth in the media.

You should really try to look at ALL of today's news, as this story is everywhere.

I haven't gotten to ALL of today's news as today isn't done being today, yet, now, has it?

Did you mean this?

I suppose it does kinda make her statement that she didn't know what the "C" meant when she signed her own name to it. Maybe she thought it meant it was the third paragraph and was in alphabetical order.

FBI director defends Clinton email probe, document releases

Washington (CNN)FBI Director James Comey is defending the bureau's Friday afternoon release of documents from the Hillary Clinton email investigation, saying "we don't play games" and that the documents were put out when ready.

In a memo to employees Wednesday, Comey said the decision to not recommend charges against the now-Democratic nominee wasn't a close call.

Thank you for a perfect example.

"This email dump PROVES she is a CRIMINAL! She should be behind bars! Just look at this email, that says . . . wait . . . it's complimentary? Oh. Well, it's probably from Media Matters. Never mind. Look the other way. Ignore this . . . hey, Benghazi!"
