Charges are expected as the investigation continues, deputies said. "Certainly people are concerned but we need responsible gun owners to be responsible. And we need homeowners to be responsible, as well as the people playing this game," Troiano said."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. yoink 321 #54 July 19, 2016 Quote The Sheriff's Office is using this as an opportunity to advise players to stay as safe as possible while playing the game in the real world. They released the following tips: Homeowners: Call 911 immediately when you suspect someone is trying to break into your home. If at all possible, be an excellent witness for law enforcement by providing valuable information on what is occurring. Avoid leaving the protection of your home to confront suspects. This should be handled by trained law enforcement officers. But still no advice saying 'Don't go shooting at random members of the public you gun-toting fuckwits'. If you HAVE TO have a gun use it for self defense only. As soon as you take it out to cause a confrontation you're a criminal.

I really hope he gets convicted. This idiot needs to do serious time. To show the rest of the idiots that self defense has rules and limits as much as to punish this idiot for what he did. It's a 2nd degree felony. Up to 15 years. GeorgiaDon 379 #62 July 31, 2016 HooknswoopDo you think the shooter knew the teens in the car were playing pokemon? Derek VWhat does that have to do with anything? They were not trespassing on his or anybody's property. They were not doing anything illegal. They were minding their own business when the shooter decided to confront them, and when they drove off he shot at them. In what world would that be appropriate behavior? This guy is a poster child for irresponsible and dangerous gun owners. Are you seriously defending him? jakee 1,594 #66 July 31, 2016 QuoteNo worries. Your title would have been more accurate, but it would not have created the emotional response the current thread title does. Nonsense. Anyone who read the article in the OP knows what happened, and the only people who appeared not to have read it properly were those whose knee-jerk response is to defend any arsehole with a gun no matter what. So the 'emotional response' comes from the sheer disbelief at the actions and attempted justifications of this homicidal maniac.Do you want to have an ideagasm? You usually don't troll that much (although you've been yanking a few chains over in the way off topic "German Mall" thread). Dumbass shot at the car because it accelerated towards him and he "felt threatened." He completely ignored, or forgot or (most likely) never knew that going out and confronting the people in the car rendered any claim of "self defense" completely irrelevant. The car accelerated away from the scene because the occupants were threatened by a dumbass with a gun, while they were sitting in a stopped car, minding their own business. As an "interesting" side note, if they had run the dumbass over, or if one of them had had a gun and shot the dumbass, the occupants of the car probably would have had a legitimate claim of self defense."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
