Education unnecessary if you're waiting for rapture

As I have stated previously, for therapy, entertainment and reality checks.

So you do like discussing religion. Why did you say you didn't care for it?

In the seven years I've been here I've never seen a positive post from you, only criticism, opposition and endless argument. So you are here for some sort of pay off known only to you.

Really? Because I seem to remember in at least one of your endlessly negative threads about how everything sucks these days and the world is about to end that I spent a fair while trying to tell you that life is, overall, pretty good in the western world. You weren't having any of it though...

I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. You are a liar and the father of lies. I order you to go back into the darkness of the abyss from whence you came. Be gone!

OK, that's a good one. Well played!
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

So you're saying the Christian Science Monitor would make untrue comments?
Their name alone is just that.
;)

No, I'm saying the good Dr. Kallend may have jumped the gun.

The rapture part is indeed untrue. It really is worse. You don't have to school your children at all, rapture or not.

Then this whole thread is shit-stirring.

Religion (atheism included) is like a penis; it is fine to have one... it is even fine to be proud of it, but don't whip it out in public and please don't try to shove it down my throat.

Attn Kallend! I would have put quotation marks and provided attribution, but the exact wording, and source are lost to me in the fog of my fifty two years.
