This guy: ============ Diner's 'Dictator Obama' special March 9, 2016 SYRACUSE, N.Y — At the American Diner, you can order a "Dictator Obama/NYS Special (King Cuomo)" plate of eggs and toast for $3.59 plus tax. But the tax is going to be $27.99, according to the menu. Michael Tassone serves up a Conservative brand of politics and humor, along with his burgers and eggs, at the little diner in the Syracuse suburb of Liverpool. His unusual menu - which also includes "The Anti-Michelle Obama Don't Tell Me What To Eat Or Feed My Kids Burger" - attracted the attention Tuesday of Fox News, which published a story about him on the homepage of its website. Ever since then, the diner has been hopping with new customers and news reporters. "I'll sell you as many as you want," Tassone said of his two eggs and toast "Dictator Obama" special. Dictator Obama on Liverpool diner menu The American Diner in Liverpool has a menu item entitled the "Dictator Obama". Owner Michael Tassone has become a celebrity of late drawing media attention from around the country But nobody at the American Diner orders the "Dictator Obama" because you can get the same egg and toast plate as a daily special for $2.49, laughed waitress Dawn Reynolds. In a highly partisan presidential election year, the diner's unusual menu is drawing in customers. Steve and Ashley Reininghaus drove 20 miles Wednesday to eat at American Diner after reading about it on the Fox News website. "The reason why we came here was to show support for like-minded people," said Steve Reininghaus, explaining that he thinks Obama has been a "horrid" president. "It's very refreshing for people to stand up for true American values," his wife said, as the couple munched on burgers for lunch and laughed at the Obama items on the menu. Both Republicans, they said they plan to vote for Donald Trump for president. "I'm just a little guy flipping pancakes, trying to make a living," said Tassone, a burly guy wearing a blue "Wake Up America" t-shirt promoting the national day of prayer, beige cargo shorts and sneakers. "Guys like me are a target. Because I speak the truth," he said, explaining his reluctance to be photographed or interviewed. The outside of Tassone's restaurant is decorated with "Repeal the SAFE Act" signs, referring to the tough gun control law that Cuomo pushed through, and "Don't Tread on Me" and American flags. Inside, the decor includes an Uncle Sam statue, Three Stooges photos, and a "Chia Obama" box depicting the president as a chia plant. Tassone's menu says "We encourage legal carry on premises" and "We encourage prayer/grace." Tassone says he's enrolled as a Conservative Party voter. ========================= Given that level of righteousness, does this really surprise anyone? ======================= Tea Party diner owner who trashed ‘Dictator Obama’ on his menu busted for welfare fraud RawStory Brad Reed 03 Jun 2016 at 08:20 ET A diner owner in New York who became locally famous for trashing President Obama on his menus has pleaded guilty to, of all things, welfare fraud. Syracuse.com reports that Michael P. Tassone was sentenced last month to a one year conditional discharge after pleading guilty to defrauding the government out of more than $23,000 in welfare payments. “It was Medicaid fraud,” explained Senior Assistant District Attorney Michael Kasmarek. “They had failed to disclose income on their application. As a result they obtained Medicaid benefits they weren’t entitled to, from May 1, 2009 to April 30, 2011.” Tassone was featured on Fox News earlier this year because his diner’s menu featured items such as the “Dictator Obama/NYS Special (King Cuomo),” which is a plate of eggs and toast that costs $3.59, plus an exorbitant “tax” of $27.99. Other menu items include the “The Anti-Michelle Obama Don’t Tell Me What To Eat Or Feed My Kids Burger,” and the restaurant itself is adorned with Tea Party “Don’t Tread On Me” flags. The menu also encourages patrons to lawfully carry weapons while in the diner. It seems Tassone didn’t hate the government enough to not fraudulently try to acquire Medicare benefits, however, and he actually had a more serious felony welfare fraud charge dropped against him in exchange for his misdemeanor plea. ===========================

All of a sudden one person changes that. Does that mean I can count you as somebody that thinks we need harsher welfare fraud laws? All of a sudden one person changes that. Does that mean I can count you as somebody that thinks we need harsher welfare fraud laws? Nope. The laws are working just fine in this case. They are stopping fraud by a criminal, which is what they are designed to do. You seem unsure of the takeaway from this story. Let me put it in terms you might better understand. Let's say Joe Smith opens up a diner. He's anti-gun. He has "NO GUNS ALLOWED" signs all over the store, and exhorts his patrons to vote for gun control measures. His bathrooms feature "toddler killed by gun" newspaper clippings. He has menu items like "gun nut omelet" which sometimes contain bits of lead. You're not supposed to eat them; it's a joke. The menu even says "eat this only if you think bullets are safe!" Then it is discovered that he has a small arsenal at his home, carries a handgun at his diner, and in fact is in violation of CCW laws. Would your response be that we need harsher gun laws? Or would you think he was a hypocrite?

As far as the rest it is his buiseness he can be Antigun in his buiseness that is his choice. It may bring in more money for him, it could cost him money. Are you saying people should only conduct thie r business on thie r true believes. We have had some bakers do that and get sued. So your rebuttal does not hold true to the orignap story, but nice spin. Handguns are only used to fight your way to a good rifle
