jakee 1,596 #2 May 10, 2016 Leaving aside the sad but predictable fact that you're citing a fascist* it seems his whole argument at least as far as the bit I listened to) is based on a giant contradiction. He warns us that we cannot assume that Europe will continue as is because tomorrow will not be the same as today, then warns us about how bad europe will become because he assumes that trends in immigration and Muslim culture will continue on tomorrow exactly as he sees them today. * NB for you, Turtlespeed etc. - this is not hyperbole. He is a real, honest to god fascist involved in running several fascist, ultra-nationalist political parties with clearly traceable roots in Neo-Nazism.Do you want to have an ideagasm? wolfriverjoe 1,523 #5 May 10, 2016 normissTrump is so god damn stupid, I honestly don't understand how anyone can listen to him speak of anything. He tells people what they want to hear. He gives them someone to blame, someone to hate. And it's a "someone" that most of his base already blames & hates (Muslims & Mexicans). I caught a bit of him on the news last night (CBS maybe?) saying "Hillary will take your guns away!!!" Admittedly, HRC has called for the disbanding of the NRA, and expressed interest in an "Australian style" of gun control (which is confiscation). But Trump has expressed dislike for guns and an admiration for the 90s "Assault Weapons" ban (there are clips of that out there). Yet the idiots want to hear what he says, so they disregard anything else."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." normiss 898 #6 May 10, 2016 I liked his comments about the Mayor of London: “I think it’s a very good thing, and I hope he does a very good job because frankly that would be very, very good. Because I think if he does a great job, it will really — you lead by example, always lead by example. If he does a good job and frankly if he does a great job, that would be a terrific thing.”

If he is so stupid, how come you don't have the same bank account he does? Comparing the amount inherited with current net worth, it seems that on a percentage basis I have done far better than Trump (based on reports of his net worth). He would need to be worth $160 Billion to match me. Of course, I am a year older than Donald, so he has a year to catch up.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. Republicans are roughly 1/2 the US population...So he represents maybe 1 loud and obnoxious american out of 3... wmw999 2,589 #24 May 11, 2016 We're probably heading into purity contests. Kind of like how some people question whether you can be a real Christian if you don't worship like them, and others can question your conservative or liberal credentials based on various litmus tests. So now all those disaffected voters for Trump aren't going to be real republicans. I think there's a possibility of an alternative republican candidate in this election. And if Trump is elected and doesn't go all anti-democrat, then he'll really be listed as not really republican. Any more, many republicans seem to behave as though they are defined by the negative of the democrats. And if we end up with a republican president, there will be some of that on the democratic side. But the "our goal is to deny him any victories" really says something about the lack of actual policies or goals. One should define oneself by what they are or what they're for, not by what they aren't or what they're against.
