>Guns at the convention, now that could get very interesting,

Day 1 - "Look, you see anyone thinking about causing trouble, shoot them. Shoot them in the face. I'll defend you, I promise. We need to bring back the old days, when people like that got carried out in stretchers. You do that, I'll back you up 100%."

Day 4 - "I had NO IDEA it was going to get violent. No idea. I would never encourage violence; I am a very gentle person. This had nothing to do with me. It was Bernie Sanders."

It was Obama that said bring a gun to a knife fight.

Hi folks,

Just caught this on the net: http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/25-000-sign-petition-allow-guns-republican-national-convention-cleveland-n546076

Guns at the convention, now that could get very interesting,

I think it should be allowed. Don't understand why the pro-gun rights party would not ensure that people can carry while attending their convention.

Surely Cruz will be in favor:

“Does anyone else in this room notice that shooting after shooting after shooting occurs in so-called gun-free zones?”

“Look, if you’re a lunatic, ain’t nothing better than having a bunch of targets you know are going to be unarmed”.

You keep repeating that.

Do you have a source for that quote?

I looked around and found what I think you are trying to quote, but that's not it. Close, but not quite.

The real one is kind of funny. At least where Obama got it from is.

I just remember is coming during his first campaign
He also told his supporters to get in their faces and argue with them

Agreed. That way Trump's encouragement of rioting at a contested convention will be considerably less dangerous.

1. The arena is well within their legal rights to refuse no matter how many signatures they get.

2. If 25,000 of my fellow party members are planning on attending; I'm fairly confident there will be enough police, undercover, secret service, etc. that you should be able to make it from your car to the arena and back again relatively safe. Once you get back in your car - feel free to put it back on. :S

I mean I'm all for gun rights, CCW and open-carry (I live in Oklahoma, so we're used to it) but let's not be fanatical about one point of law that's not going to change between now and the convention.

Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

That is way too reasonable, please remove yourself from SC immediately.

>Here is what I found from a youtube search

So in your opinion, Obama was telling his supporters that they should bring guns to the conventions, because there would be opposition people there with knives who would be fighting with them?

Not even his opponent tried to make such a ridiculous claim.

Well, apparently the Secret Service places little value on the delegates' and candidates' lives, since it won't allow guns at the convention.

When you make posts like this I think of one of Mark Twains famous quotes, and walk away....:|

it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

As I've said before:
Quote

"Gun free zones" should be just that, not just on the honor system. If one does not want passive security (allowing those that choose to carry), they must provide active security in the form of armed guards and searches before entering.

This definitely falls under the latter. :)
