ISIS attack in Brussels

I've known some thugs who were white. I kept my distance. They come in all sizes and colors. It's up to you to find out who they are and decide if you're going to trust or friend them.

Fully agree.

Just noting that Ron uses the term thug to indicate something a bit more specific.

***************"Have you noticed that every nation that opens their arms to Muslim refugees gets repaid with destruction and body count." ~Author Unknown

You know I really get pissed off with closed minded and biggoted people. I've got two young Muslims on my team at work both with PHDs in engineering and one is from Iraq and the other Iran. They were discussing how bad the attacks were and what makes people do something so horrific.

It's ironic how similar Western fundamentalists are, it's just they celebrate predator drones hitting the 'towel heads'. Perhaps a little introspection on what your God said to old George Bush when 'he' told him to bring body count and destruction to the Muslims:o

I don't recall much American outrage over Catholics when the IRA was regularly bombing London, Birmingham, Manchester, and other cities in the UK and producing a much higher body count. In fact, the American response was mostly to send guns and money to the terrorists.

The difference is that in Ireland, the issue wasn't religion per se. What church one attended was a function of WHO one was more than what they did or did not believe.

I fail to see that this has any relevance to Americans sending guns and money to one terrorist group while being outraged over another.

And as someone already implied, the number of Americans shot dead by other Americans since yesterday morning is almost certainly higher than the Brussels body count.

I suppose you mean the Muslim brotherhood, right? That terrorist group?

Short attention span there, turtle.

. . . shortened to the Muslim Brotherhood, is a transnational Sunni Islamist organization founded in Egypt by Islamic scholar and schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna in 1928.[1][2][3][4] The organisation gained supporters throughout the Arab world and influenced other Islamist groups such as Hamas[5] with its "model of political activism combined with Islamic charity work",[6] and in 2012 sponsored the elected political party in Egypt after the January Revolution in 2011. However, it suffered from periodic government crackdowns for alleged terrorist activities, and as of 2015 is considered a terrorist organization by the governments of Bahrain,[7][8] Egypt, Russia, Syria, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.[9][10][11][12]

Can you just give us a group grade of F and do your own homework?
It would seem very few here are interested in your class assignments.

It wasn't a class assignment. In fact you were not invited to participate. I was responding to SkyDekker's lack of understanding by providing an adequate reference point for him.

No doubt, but that is NOT a quote from this thread and therefore is a non-sequitur in this context.

As another poster already noted today, when losing you just try to change the subject. Very transparent.

As far as people being shot goes, if you remove some of the lower socioeconomic portions of the population from the equation, delete suicides and justifiable homicide, the threat of being shot is on a par with being struck by lightning or winning the lottery.

All pretty much true. I can admit to a personal example. When there is conflict in some place I've never heard of and a group identified as some sort of Christian is clashing with some other group, no matter what other religion, I feel an instant gut anger if it's the Christians being attacked. One that I don't feel if they are the aggressors.

I attribute this to my Christian background. Even though I am not a believer, I naturally identify with that group. Even though I have nothing else in common with them.

I read this ridiculous opinion piece the other day, and I recall the griping about the facebook check-in feature for Paris and not Beirut back in November. My conclusion as to why westerners mourn in unequal terms is simple: these mass killing events have become par for the course in urban centers in the Muslim world, while they are extremely rare in relatively peaceful Western European urban centers. For the writer to expect equal mourning for anyone anywhere isn't exactly reasonable.

Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

Very true. Muslims committing acts of terror upon other Muslims is no longer newsworthy. It is a near daily occurrence. Not as much in Turkey, so it does get a little of our attention. But we tend to just lump it in with all the other regular atrocities.

But it is very disturbing that it has come to this if you do take a moment to reflect.

Coming from a guy who believes the end times are near, you'll have to forgive me for taking your predictions with more than one grain of salt. Maybe I'll start calling you an "alarmist".

I'll own "alarmist." All of this chaos is part of the end times prophecy. Don't be too concerned until all the Christians disappear. I mean like in the blink of an eye.

That's funny - you'll sit there on your high horse and say that calling someone a pollack if "fucking offensive!"

But you have no problem shitting all over a "prepper".

You know Wendy, I think abortion is "fucking offensive," but you don't give a shit about that, do you? - so fuck your little list of offensive words and your self righteous hypocritical bullshit.
