yoink 321 #1 March 10, 2016 Once again, NK are playing one-upmanship in the theater of mass destruction by claiming they're miniaturized nuclear warheads enough to put on intercontinental missiles... Do I think they've done it? no. Do I think they WILL do it? Yes... it may take two years, or it may take twenty, but eventually I think they'll manage to create an intercontinental nuclear weapon. My question is twofold: 1) Do you agree? Do you think NK will ever get long range nuclear missiles? 2) (and the more interesting one) What then? I'm genuinely worried that they're insane enough to launch one - even if it means they're wiped off the globe as a result. Do you think the rhetoric is just that and there's some sanity in the NK leadership, or do you think it's inevitable that we're heading towards if not a nuclear war, at least a nuclear launch? Bolas 5 #2 March 10, 2016 Considering the age of their military equipment and other infrastructure, my bet is on the whole country imploding first. But if they even do get close to a nuclear missle, China will deal with them. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. nolhtairt 0 #3 March 10, 2016 That pic of Kim Jong Un posing with the supposed miniature nuclear warhead, all we need is the "hand of God" appearing and wrapping itself around it and BOOM... like the movie The Stand.
jakee 1,594 #4 March 10, 2016 I thought North Koreans were usually pretty small anyway? Any more miniature and they wouldn't be able to get clothes that fit. TBH though, seems like the more they push their warhead and launch vehicle program's the more chance there is of having a catastrophic failure at a test firing and wiping out their entire research division, right? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Making a reasonably powerful nuke is not a trivial task. Making it small enough and light enough while still powerful is far more difficult. Making mockups and photoshopping missiles in flight (and landing ACVs approaching a shoreline) is easy."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
