turtlespeed 226 #52 February 25, 2016 SkyDekker ****** Quote Yes I'm excited about the challenge of getting my conceal carry. What's the challenge? You buy the gun, you conceal it, you go outside. Typical Canadian response. Educate yourself about the process. Why don't you even take a corse or two. You would be better for it. There is no process in Alaska. Try Google, maybe ask a teacher how to use it. OK - Maybe you don't think so good, eh? Just because there isn't one required, it doesn't mean there are none OFFERED. Unless you are OKAY wit people just doing the bare minimum. You know, just enough to get by. Alaskans may be separated by some Canadian land - but we aren't that lazy, and tend to go above and beyond the minimum. You should try it sometime.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

Which is why I asked her what the challenge was for her since it wasn't a requirement. You then suggested I educate myself about the process. However, there is no process required. You either didn't know that and are trying to weasel right now, or just used incredibly poor wording. See in Canada words have meaning, I know that for you it is more about the truthiness you can feel in your belly and the strong belief Trump will make America great again. No, you are right, I just assumed that Alaska at least required some training for CCW. I still wouldn't concealed carry without the proper insurance and training.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

gowlerk 2,259 #58 February 25, 2016 It would seem a permit is not required for most Alaskans. But because of reciprocity agreements with other states it is in your interests to get one. That way you can carry if you travel to Florida or Arizona for a boogie. But not California, no agreement there.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. This, from the same fellow who posted above about projection. Some of us are better off living in countries where guns aren't an integral part of the culture. Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

That way you can carry if you travel to Florida or Arizona for a boogie. But not California, no agreement there. There are other reasons too. As was noted above, the actual laws for civilian use of deadly force are nothing like they are portrayed in the media. The consequences for a shooting are pretty harsh. Even if it turns out to be justified, there will be cops, handcuffs, lawyers, all that shit. And if a shooting does happen, then the fact that the shooter went through the process, learned the laws and got the permit will be a significant point in her favor in the eyes of the court system."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
