wolfriverjoe 1,523 #76 March 1, 2016 SkyDekkerQuoteDescribing his work as a mission from God, Higgins said, "I will not kneel to violent street gangs. I will not kneel to murderers, or the parents that raised them. I will not kneel to a discredited wanna-be black activist that doesn't really have the best interest of his people in mind." Turns out he was a racist, religious idiot. Good riddance. Like we need a cop to see his job as a mission from God. How about you just do your job. Yeah. That was probably the most unprofessional video I've seen that had an "official" tag on it. Kinda funny, but far more something you'd see in a bad cop movie. I was going to post something along those lines, but the discussion went off into the typical Pee Wee Herman behavior."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." wolfriverjoe 1,523 #79 March 2, 2016 Ok, here's a random thought about this: The guy claims he's on a "mission from God" and that the bad guys are "heathens." What would the reaction have been had his skin been darker, and had he used the name "Allah" instead of "God" and the term "infidels" instead of "heathens""There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." There is always another side to the story, I read the Sheriffs comments. It looks like he and Higgins had a parting of the ways. it happens. I doubt we've seen the last of Capt. Higgins, he was at the very least entertaining, at the most effective. The next Sheriff election there should be very interesting. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!" There are 5 other ones standing around watching an assault take place and they do absolutely nothing to stop it, or to arrest those responsible. Videos show time and time again how cops get really upset when they aren't obeyed. One of the reasons why LEO's have far higher incidences of domestic abuse than the rest of the population. It is the role of the courts to determine guilt and, if applicable, appropriate punishment. Agreed - Once a suspect is under control, then the DUTY of the police to capture him is complete. The next DUTY is absolutely to transport that person safely that is now helpless and under their care. If they can't cleanly identify the line from when the suspect's condition changes from "threat" to "safe" and treat him appropriately at each stage, then they are out of control bullies (as brave as they might be in the first stage, they are despicable cowards and bullies in the second part) and maybe police work isn't the right job for that individual. ... Their job is stop crime. Once the suspect is no longer a threat, he is now a prisoner. He shouldn't become a victim. Here is a clear example of 6 (there were 8 total) cops not doing their duty when they see an assault - suspension is appropriate. Two (maybe 3?) should be arrested, the rest suspended for not stopping a crime. ... SkyDekker 1,465 #91 May 13, 2016 Quotesuspension is appropriate. Right, except that won't happen, nor will they even get reprimanded. As a matter of fact, they will probably get ostracized for not reminding their two "brothers" that a helicopter with camera was overhead..

I have the same expectation, but I don't think it's absolute. here's the issue though. If they don't, it'll be all over the news. if they do, we won't hear anything about it. So our viewpoint will be reinforced regardless of what happens ...
