yoink 321 #1 February 17, 2016 So to show his support for gun rights, Jeb Bush tweeted a picture of his new handgun that has his name inscribed on it, along with a single word: America. As this story suggests (http://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-35594007, it's been met with mockery from cultures (real and imagined) around the world - no surprise really, but that isn't really the point of this post. I'm genuinely curious to the US reaction to this tweet. I see it as a pathetic 'Look! I Like guns! I bought a gun! Vote for me! cry for help, and am saddened that this is how a politician thinks is the best way to get votes, but then I'm not American. Does this actually do anything for you guys? Does the fact that this guy has bought a pistol and tweeted a photo of it make anyone think he's less of a tool?
normiss 892 #2 February 17, 2016 I saw it more of a "Look! My supporters sent me a personalized gun free because they think I will protect the 2nd" thing than anything else. Seems silly to me.

Not because they're drooling over the gun, but just because they think it might piss some people off, and these days that's what the MO of US political parties is.
