Do you consider 2 families/8 people like a mass entry ? As I stated earlier, it is the fact that those folks sought that path because it is viable. Our border is ultra porous. Everyone knows it. Looks like Donald Trump is going to be the only choice because our safety is becoming the only issue. 8 SYRIANS CAUGHT AT TEXAS BORDER IN LAREDO http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/11/18/report-8-syrians-caught-at-texas-border-in-laredo/ Back to your OP Ron. Although the story features a picture of an ever vigilant officer with binoculars watching the river, if you read the story it merely contains an unsubstantiated claim by unnamed agent or agents that up to 8 people were prevented from entering the US. There is no attempt to sneak into the country noted. It says they were at the bridge in Laredo. Which is a legal entry point. CBP turns away many people every day. wolfriverjoe 1,523 #54 November 20, 2015 RonD1120I'm certain everyone is aware.... http://www.cbsnews.com/news/house-approves-bill-to-pause-syrian-refugee-plan/ The will of the people is to stop Syrian refugees from mass entry into the U.S. The bill now goes to the Senate. If it passes and goes to BHO and he has vowed to veto it. Diane Feinstein, D-CA, is concerned and she wants to put more control on student visas. http://observerleader.com/2015/11/bill-would-add-restrictions-to-visa-waiver-program/ Why would our psychopathic liberal Progressive-Islamofascist POTUS desire such an action? He wants more civil unrest. It is his ideological agenda. "The government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish." Wrong! "I am going to fundamentally transform America." Dinesh D'Souza in 2008 was right and you all laughed. I believe 2016 is going to be nightmarish. That is unless somehow we find a way to unite. I guess I find it difficult to correlate 10,000 refugees and the term "mass entry." The "will of the people" is fear and xenophobia. That is wrong. If the "will of the people" was Sharia law, would you support it? Somehow I kind of doubt it. You only support the "will of the people" when you agree with it. The idea of a constitutional republic is that the "will of the people" shouldn't be used by the majority to oppress the minority."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Remember he was middle-eastern and there is no love for even brownish skinned people in America You stereotype is sad. The bias you imagine is a very small percentage of people, just like everywhere else. Like the bias you are displaying. America has turned it into an industry, that's the big difference. As for the comparison - it would have been Jesus's parents - they were refugees looking for someplace safe. But then, claiming this is a christian based opposition thing is a pretty gross prejudice also or a tangent at best. But at least if one wants to preach or feel superior to christians that oppose it, you'd get more leverage with a Joseph and Mary and a baby analogy. I still like the idea of volunteer host families - it makes it real when we all realize that's it's not just "can the government (or someone else) do it", but when individuals say "I'll pitch in". I fully believe that we'd have volunteers from homes or communities enough to support a couple hundred to a couple thousand in each state. I'm disappointed in the 2 parties in the House. The solution wasn't to block the refugees, the solution is to define a vetting process and making sure their constituents understood it so their concerns could be mitigated. This is pure PR pandering from both sides. Accept Marley, and give unto others many bowls and plates of pasta and meatballs - ... gowlerk 2,274 #69 November 20, 2015 RonD1120Of course if the Islamic terrorists only target Judeo-Christians you wouldn't care. So far they are mostly targeting people who are Muslims, but are not practicing it correctly or following their doctrine, making them apostates. They execute people in that category on a daily basis. Those are the people that are fleeing and are refugees. Get it? Let me explain a little more clearly. The people who think like them are duty bound to stay in the Caliphate and help expand it's borders and cleanse it. The ones leaving are the ones who disagree and don't want to be murdered. We should welcome them. Simple.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Why are we so worried about the Syrians and the Central Americans but don't give a shit about our military veterans? BTW, up here in the mountains recycling is a way of life. These sponsors would do a better job than the government could do of helping refugees to adapt to US society, and they could also do a better job of observing if any "suspicious activity" was going on. In the town where I live we have an organization called Jubilee Partners, which has the primary mission of helping refugees to resettle in North Georgia. I am not aware of a single incident of lawbreaking, or any other sort of trouble, coming from this organization or the people they sponsor. Quite a few of the local "good-old-boy" Americans are a very different story. Don_____________________________________ Tolerance is the cost we must pay for our adventure in liberty. rehmwa 2 #75 November 20, 2015 GeorgiaDonIn the town where I live we have an organization called Jubilee Partners, which has the primary mission of helping refugees to resettle in North Georgia. I am not aware of a single incident of lawbreaking, or any other sort of trouble, coming from this organization or the people they sponsor. Growing up our tiny, fairly christian, Iowa town of 3000 people, hosted a refugee family from Laos (it was like the 70's or so). It took maybe a month or two before this really nice family became a strong contributing member of the community. A little understanding and kindness goes a long way. it makes it personal, people do integrate better when they are part of society. we learn more about each other. we evolve faster. We understand the real cost (and benefit). Charity that is face to face is much more effective (for both giver and receiver) and doesn't generate the resentment that anonymous charity and entitlements that federal programs try to push I give a LOT of credit and credibility to people that would volunteer to help personally - much more than those that just blithely state "the government should do this". There's a lot of smug and self righteous talking....I like the do-ers of course, IMO ...
