I feel the party heads want the same things in the end The vote just may determine which party has the most control over the government and the then associated dollars that come with that power this is why I think someone other than a Bush or a Clinton in the White House may at least buy us some time"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." councilman24 37 #10 November 13, 2015 PRIMARY, no electoral college but lots of super delegates, etc.I've been on 6 non-partisan ballots. Whether your vote counts or not for a primary is up for grabs. But you should always think you vote counts. If nothing else it counts to you and you having taken advantage of our system. I have little use for most of the folks in Washington, in my state capital Lansing, and even our County commission, all partisan. But I've also been part of an election won by 7 votes and another in my community that was a tie and settled by a coin flip. Voting is better than not voting. I'm old for my age. BartsDaddy 7 #13 November 14, 2015 normiss Agreed. We gotta try. I agree with that statement. But when you live in a state that consistently claims a winner 1 minute after the polls close, and there are smaller states that the polls closed 3 hours earlier still counting. It really is trying to believe that trying will help. Handguns are only used to fight your way to a good rifle
tkhayes 348 #14 November 14, 2015 Does not really matter - whether Hillary or Bernie get the nomination, the Democrats are all (mostly) aligned behind that person, and that person will most likely get the Presidency. The Republicans have the usual bunch of loonies up there and will in-fight to the end, then probably put the most electable person up there, regardless of whether or not they are loonie (probably Bush) and they will lose. They are disorganized and look like children. The Democrats and strongly united. But whether one or the other wins the presidency make no difference because CONGRESS is supposed to do most of the work, but they do not and Americans are generally so fucking stoopid they have no idea how it works or how it is supposed to work. Congress will continue to play games, the Presidency will continue to be the place where all the blame goes for everything. THe system will continue to be dysfunctional, Americans will do nothing to change it.

Excellent 2% Good 7% Fair 25% Poor 63% The Presidential Tracking Poll shows that: Approve of President Obama's job performance. 46% Disapprove. 53% SO while neither Congress nor the President have majority approval, the President gets FAR better approval than the GOP led Congress. Particularly sad is that 59% of all voters think most members of Congress are willing to sell their vote for either cash or a campaign contribution, and 56% think it’s likely their own representative has already done so.... It's not 'Americans' fault, it's not Congress' fault, it's the way the government was created. The legislative branch is, inevitably and by design, divided. The Executive branch is, by design, unified. Which one will be best able to effectively push an agenda? Answers on a postcard...Do you want to have an ideagasm?
