Yes, just as the smoking number does. But as you said, you can still determine that number with some certainty.



I'm not saying that number is wrong, but it seems a little high to be contributed wholly to climate change.

I think that might be because we have something of a US-centric view here. Here in the US, a drought means you can't water your lawn for a few months; in many developing countries, it means thousands die of starvation. There are a lot of people living on the edge, and it doesn't take much of a change to push them over that edge.

We've all heard charities say "just a few cents a day can save a child from starvation." That's true because it doesn't take much to save the life of someone who is starving. The opposite is true as well.
