QuoteFrom the “settled science” department and former chief alarmist Jay Zwally, who for years had said the Arctic was in big trouble (only to have his prediction falsified), comes this Emily Litella moment in climate science: “Never mind!”. Curiously, WUWT reported back in 2012 about an ICEsat study by Zwally that said: ICESAT Data Shows Mass Gains of the Antarctic Ice Sheet Exceed Losses. I surmise that with the publication of this second study, the original is now confirmed. I suppose John Cook will have to revise his “Denial 101” video on Antarctica now. winsor 236 #12 November 2, 2015 kallend Why didn't you post the original article instead of the spin version from your favorite denier site? This is the one I came across. They basically said that the models suck, but that we should remain cautiously terrified anyway. I'm still scared beyond the capacity for rational thought (with apologies to Harold Ramis). faulknerwn 38 #19 November 2, 2015 And there are also interesting articles like this: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/energy-environment/wp/2015/10/26/east-antarcticas-biggest-glacier-is-melting-from-below-study-confirms/ I listen to these guys because one of them is a Texas skydiver (Jamin Greenbaum) and he spends a large percentage of his year flying around in C130s around Antarctica measuring the ice! The liberal application of Government is the solution to all of our problems, all of them I tell you! If the Government did not take money away from people to spend on Worthwhile Things (tm), these foolhardy people would waste these funds on things that do not serve the Common Good - or, worse yet, they would SAVE that money so that it does NOBODY any good. We elect the wisest from among us to represent our very best interests, and Government Employees are the finest minds, who address every problem with the very best possible outcome. Capitalists are concerned with turning a buck, and couldn't care less about the noble goal of bringing Truth, Justice and the American Way to the whole world. Capitalists want to pick up their shovel, pack up their ass, get on their camel and head to the promised land. Progressives know to put down their shovel, sit on their ass and light up a Camel - this IS the promised land. Go Bernie! (he's so kewl...)
cvfd1399 0 #22 November 3, 2015 You dont post in here often so your bias towards posters should be pretty even keel and you seem to be in the know so I will pose this question to you. We know the climate is changing. We know that the earths climate has changed in the past. We know that it has been hotter, colder, wetter, dryer in the past. We know that man via deforestation, emissions, etc can change the earth on land and in the air. Knowing all that would you say that this global warming, weather change, whatever you want to call it today is. 1. Normal changing weather patterns as shown in history no man made input affecting it at all. 2. Normal changing weather patterns with a slight bit of man made input helping the change. The change is natural but man because he has been measured to have altered it some he is getting all the wrap for it and in fact its just a normal weather change behind all the politics. 3. All man made changes with a bit of normal global weather change as recorded in scientific ice and dirt samples. Man is the cause mother nature is just adding to it. 4. Man is the entire cause, and the normal earth patterns have not changed a bit. Man is entirely at fault. This is not a setup for another question, and not some sort of trap. I seriously wonder what the actual answer is. I will leave out what I think the answer is out of the above till later.
