Trump Is Right About 9/11

Recommended Posts

If he had invested his money in other people's businesses, he would have two to three times more money than he made on his own. So, the average large business is two to three times better at making money than he is.

I wouldn't consider that a great business success.

But he does have a lot of stuff. Of course, he would have even more stuff if he'd let talented business people use his money, but I guess that's not relevant.:S

So in your mind starting with 1-10 million and making a couple billion is a failure. WELL OK THEN...........

If you make that couple million into a billion and everyone you are competing with makes 10 billion, then yes, you are not a brilliant businessman.

Lmfao ok sure. Let me know when you got your billion.

Spot me seven million and come back in thirty years. I'll give you the seven milllion back, I promise.

Oh wait, you want interest on that? Hmm, you mean you can make money with money and have no business skill whatsoever? No way!

Lets scale it down then. His dad gave him a million and he is worth billions. I am sure at your age you have made at least a couple hundred thousand. Are you worth millions? If not then you are a bad business man. Trump would have made millions off what you have made. Think scale. He isn't back at 1-10 or 50 million he is with BILLIONS. I don't see that as a failure because he had 15 but is now back at 6 billion.

Oh, yes; Trump is such a business genius, that he took four businesses into bankruptcy, and couldn't even make money at the same rate as an index fund: http://www.moneytalksnews.com/why-youre-probably-better-investing-than-donald-trump/

He's at least as good a businessman as GWB :)
As far as envy is concerned, I am 60, have been retired for several years, and am about to move into a house exactly where I want to live with my husband. I don't envy anything.

We earned what we have with good liberal values, like hard work and paying attention, and being ready for the next change, rather than resentful of it.

>His dad gave him a million . . . .

Over four million, actually.

If my father had given me 4.3 million dollars when I started working, I would now be worth well over a billion - doing exactly the same things I have done with my life so far.

Dave Ramsey was worth millions lost it all and went bankrupt but he is now the go to family financial planner worth millions. It's not the road it's the ending, and as I see it trump is worth Billions and billions and that is not a failure.

personal bankruptcy != business bankruptcy

From what I can find, Ramsey's was a personal bankruptcy. Trump has never filed personal bankruptcy; All of his were business bankruptcies, and only the first one involved some of his own money. The majority of money lost was Other People's Money.

Was worth 4 million at 26 years old, then lost it when banks called in his short term loans. He is now worth 55 million, a successful business man turnaround period.
