airdvr 210 #1 September 24, 2015 Regarding Keystone QuoteOctober 2010: We're "inclined" to back it "We haven't finish all of the analysis," Clinton, then secretary of state, told the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco. "So as I say, we've not yet signed off on it. But we are inclined to do so and we are for several reasons." June 2014: "I can't respond" but we're "trying to get it right" "I can't really comment at great length because I had responsibility for it and it's been passed on and it wouldn't be appropriate, but I hope that Canadians appreciate that the United States government -- the Obama administration -- is trying to get it right," Clinton told Canada's The Globe and Mail as she promoted her book, Hard Choices. When asked if she personally agreed with the pipeline, she said, "I can't respond." January 2015: "I'm not going to express an opinion" "We have differences and you won't get me to talk about Keystone because I have steadily made clear that I'm not going to express an opinion," she told an audience in Winnipeg. "It is in our process and that's where it belongs." July 2015: "If it is undecided when I become president, I will answer your question" "I am not going to second guess (President Barack Obama) because I was in a position to set this in motion," Clinton said just two months ago in New Hampshire. "I want to wait and see what he and Secretary (John) Kerry decide." She added, "If it is undecided when I become president, I will answer your question." September 2015: "I oppose it" "I think it is imperative that we look at the Keystone pipeline as what I believe it is -- a distraction from important work we have to do on climate change," Clinton said Tuesday in Des Moines, Iowa. "And unfortunately from my perspective, one that interferes with our ability to move forward with all the other issues. Therefore I oppose it." She was for it before she was against it. I can see her moral compass swaying in the breeze. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
kallend 2,156 #2 September 24, 2015 Reagan was a Dem and a union organizer before he became a Republican. GHWB said "Read my lips, no new taxes", and then raised taxes. GWB stated clearly that he would not engage in "nation building", before he spent $billions of taxpayer money trying (and failing) to do just that. Rand Paul can't make up his mind about vaccines, Iran, civil rights, Israel or immigration. Trump has flip-flopped on abortion, drug laws, gun control, immigration, Social Security, and support of Hillary. What is your point?... Amazon 7 #6 September 24, 2015 That is a function of low information voters.... Team voters usually get it wrong. Perhaps actually voting for someone based on ALL of their stated positions.. instead of a perceived way a team guy and single issues pan out. I voted for Nixon.... once I voted for Ford..... I voted for Saint Ronald,,,, once Until I figured out that what they said did not match up with what they did. A vote for the NAVY ACE,,, who selected his running mate with the little head and not the big one ( A lifelong problem for John).... NO FUCKING WAY and a Vote for a Vulture Capitalist who got rich off of financially destroying thousands of his fellow Americans.... another NO FUCKING WAY I did not vote for a BUSH.. and I did not vote for a Clinton. There are other options out there... the two party system has a stranglehold only based on the people who will only vote for their team guy. If you profess to actually be a Libertarian... and really do want small government and fiscal responsibility.. you will NEVER get that by voting for the GOP Team guy EVER.. they have been paying lip service to those ideals for 40 years.. with no discernible policies that match up with that. How dare she change her mind over the course of 5 years! Anyone who changes their mind about stuff in so short a span of time obviously has questionable morals!! Far better to make a decision and stick with it. Even if it's the wrong one! Sorry. I can't lay the sarcasm on any thicker than that. Maybe someone else could try. Maybe someone else could try. less than 10 months, not 5 years, and it has nothing to do with her belief or her stance or her governing, it is all about getting the vote. *** While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance. ‘Welcome to heaven,' says St. Peter. 'Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you. ‘No problem, just let me in,' says the man. ‘Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity. ‘Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,' says the senator. ‘I’m sorry, but we have our rules. ‘And with that, St.Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him. Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne. Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly & nice guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go. Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator raises...The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him. ‘Now it's time to visit heaven. ‘So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns. ‘Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity. ‘The senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: 'Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell. ‘So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in bags as more trash falls from above. The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. 'I don't understand,' stammers the senator. 'Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened? ‘The devil looks at him, smiles and says, 'Yesterday we were campaigning....Today you voted.'I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

jakee 1,599 #15 September 24, 2015 Quote Point out where in those statements she has 'made a decision'. That's the point, isn't it?(I don't know anything about his particular issue but I've said it before that the cry of "Flip-Flop!" over any change in position must be one of the most damaging aspects of modern political commentary. The ability to change one's mind over time, through thought, consideration, and discovery of new information should be a celebrated quality. Dogmatic adherence to preconceived notions no matter what happens should be viewed with great suspicion.)Do you want to have an ideagasm?
