winsor 236 #4 September 18, 2015 DanGRealy. When has Obama claimed to be a Muslim? Whenever speaking to a Muslim audience. I'm not saying he believes anything in particular. He does, however lay claim to whatever ism is convenient at the time. If this is news to you, it behooves you to do your homework.
wmw999 2,600 #5 September 18, 2015 And that damn JFK was a German, too. He said so in public. I'm in NH right now, at the ancestral family summer camp. One of our neighbors (the one who warned us about chupacabras in the next town ) was talking to my husband about Obama being an alien. As in outer space. Obama has also been suppressing the price of scrap metal; this guy hoards crap in his sister's yard (he lives in the basement), pretending that it's an investment. But it's all part of life on the pond Wendy P. There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Winsor - I don't necessarily equate 'extreme pandering' to actually claiming to be part of a group. That's up to the ignorance of any group to infer from the politician. "I'm one of you" is standard speech, but it's an attempt to get the group to identify with the pol, not the pol identifying with the group...... Dan - why so hard to believe? all politicians pander, it's in the training manual. ... It's annoying. I should learn to let it go, but wwhen supposedly educated and intelligent people like winsor keep saying things like,"Obama claims to be a Muslim," it makes me mad. Serenity now... - Dan G

A set of clips of our Fearless Leader addressing muslim audiences is easily accessible to anyone doing the most casual search. And they don't show what you claim. So I could post loads of videos of him not saying he's a muslim, but you could just say I hadn't found the right one in your bestest condescending teacher voice and we're back where we started. Or, you could just find one video, post it and prove us all wrong. If you're right, that's the easiest, simplest, most logical progression of this discussion. Or, if you're just bullshitting or trolling, keep doing what you're doing.Do you want to have an ideagasm?

"Obama trying to get on the good side of muslim...he's pretending he's a muslim" OK - if you go that route, then Bush speaking Spanish at a speech is Bush claiming to be Hispanic. Or Hillary claiming to be evangelical african american. Or John Kerry claiming to be - well - everyone. ... I have to admit that Obama's presidency has been a real eye-opener. Not everyone who criticizes him is racist. Personally, I oppose many if not most of his policies. But the number of people who think he's Muslim, or Kenyan, or Communist, or all the other idiotic claims that are made is telling me that we haven't gone anywhere near as far from the Pre-Civil-Rights era as I would have thought. There are people who I have known for quite a while who have turned out to be basically closet racists. They instantly believe anything negative about Obama, yet refuse to look at the actual facts. When asked to articulate what they don't like about him, they don't bring up gun control, healthcare, foreign policy, or any other actual fact-based criticisms."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
