It's truly mind blowing to see how every conversation about guns seems to get pushed and pulled into this ridiculous partisan debate about political ideology.

What is even more rideculous is how some here have to insult groups who does not agree with them

Sure. By the same token let's ignore the people who complain about gun rights, since they clearly have plenty of gun rights already. Why waste time and money on people who complain about rights they already have? Why not spend that valuable time and money on people who want rights they don't have?

That's clearly NOT what John was doing.
Rush ignores those two points to disallowing gun ownership, Kallend seems to feel they are rather important dis-qualifiers as they should be..
Not to defend John's position on gun rights by any means, but that is NOT what he was saying.
