kallend 2,150 #152 June 12, 2015 rushmc So, in your mind, when is the ,they are paying enough, level reached? Since corporations wish to be treated as "persons" for the purposes of the 1st Amendment, they should be treated as persons for tax purposes too. That would put them at 39.6%... Coal and oil can survive without tax breaks So why do they contribute so much to politicians in order to keep their tax breaks? Because politicians have their hands out. Here's a suggestion: limit the power of politicians. There is a reason why they'll spend millions of their own money to campaign for a job that pays them far less. Selfless public service ain't the answer. My wife is hotter than your wife.

Hundreds of millions in loan guarantees to that plucky little startup, Ford Motor company, to help them retool and make that eco box F150, is a great example of a good green loan. SkyDekker 1,465 #163 June 15, 2015 Quote"Overwhelming" is opinion. "Critical" is opinion. It's like saying my wife is hotter than yours. It's opinion. Or that your wife has better judgment on picking a spouse. It's an opinion. I agree, but opinion. No it isn't. If I define overwhelming as anything over 95% succes rate and it is clear what success is, then overwhelming success isn't an opinion, it is fact. lawrocket 3 #169 June 15, 2015 SkyDekkerIn this case.....Jerry is talking in absolutes. You are correct. A bit of opinion taints a fact. There is some absolute tk it. There are absolutes. Facts are 100% objectively verifiable. We can look at facts versus opinions and even combinations of the two: - the Maple Leafs of 2024-15 did not match the high expectations of the preseason - the Maple Leafs proved to be a spectacularly bad team - the Maple Leafs failed to make the playoffs for 2015 - the Maple Leafs are the worst managed franchise in the NHL - with a pedestrian 61 points and an abysmal -34 in 2014-15, Phil Kessel was an underwhelming failure Facts are there. The opinions are seen in the statements when I say what I think about it. No matter how much people may agree that -34 is abysmal, it is still an opinion. There are absolutes. Absolutes are facts. Measurable and verifiable. Heck, the Raiders have Carr as a QB. Depending on even the stats, he either had one of the best rookie seasons for a QB in the past 20 years or one of the worst. Me? Let me see the stats and I'll make some conclusions myself. Don't tell me something g was an overwhelming success. Show me the data and let me decide. My wife is hotter than your wife.
