Guest #58 May 13, 2015 quade***Am I the only one here who might be somewhat relieved? By a conspiracy theory? Seymour Hersch hasn't been right about a LOT of stuff since the early 70s. People cut him way too much slack, but I think his conspiracy theories do far more harm than good. I find it strange how some of these "celebrity reporters" apparently start to believe their own twaddle (Peter Arnett, Woodward & Bernstein come immediately to mind. Norman Mailer is another one). They seem to reach a declining stage later in their careers where they become self-consuming maggots, feeding off their own reputations to the point where they to seem to think that truth and objectivity bear no relationship to reality or the story - the story is the most important thing, truth be damned. Look at how Rolling Stone totally dropped the ball recently (At least they finally got paid back for the hatchet job they did on McCrystal). mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
