I am called a denier by Bill all the time

Well, you do deny that men has any influence on climate change.

I agree that man has influence on climate. I don't believe that the apocalypse will happen any time soon because of it, or that we are at or near some point of no return.

In other words, I don't believe there is some great need for alarm.

But, I have yet to see you argue the point for the other side

I too agree there is no reason for any alarm
Not the case for many here

So . . . You are either with us or against us, right?

Not really
But this I do know
The science is not settled
Until that point is agreed to, it will stay less than pretty
"America will never be destroyed from the outside,
if we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

Your mind is settled on the science put out by the Koch Denial groups so you will never be able to admit how wrong you are.

Your great grand children will curse you and all those who put off doing anything for so long for profit to yourselves.

I guess that all depends on wether or not the change is beneficial to the grand children, isn't it? Rarely do beneficiaries bitch that things are better for them.

They will live in the world that the last few generations have made for them..... Good luck surviving that brave new world with a world that is nothing like that which humans evolved in.

>Judith Curry, a CLIMATE scientist, recently testified before congress stating just that.

Yes, there are those 3%.

Even Michael Mann is now admitting that temps have flatlined in the last 15 years, calling it a "false hiatus". Surely "Mr. global Warming" can't now be a denier. [:/]

Warmest years on record:
2014
2010
2005
1998

Yep, claiming they flatlined would definitely be a "false hiatus."

You mean, 1936, 1998, 2005, 2010, 2014.
And to be clear, he HAS admitted that there has been a pause. He has further stated that there is a 25% chance that this pause may last another ten years.

While there is a 100% chance that this may or may not be actually relevant to humanity.

But this I do know
The science is not settled

I love how people throw this around, but are never able to answer this question:

What would signify the science being settled?

Perhaps when the new coastline looks something like this.... they will get a clue... by then though all the rich will have gotten far wealthier...and will have compounds on high ground to protect them from the remnants of civilization who have voted everything they once had away in ignorance.

Ain't gonna happen. Period.

Yet you seem to think it will. Quit being so anti science and start doing some math.

In 500 million years there is not to going to be enough CO2 in the atmosphere for most trees to survive. Yes. Inevitable. Plate tectonics will mean other things. By the time florida floods like that it will not be Florida any more.

I'll have to post simulations about what it would look like if I had kids with Kate Upton. Sure, there is nothing in science that says it it impossible. But I can safely say it ain't gonna happen! Short of a megatsunami, Florida will not ever look like that.

What is the rock underlying ail the beach deposits of sand in Florida again???? How was it formed???? How old is it???? What was sea level in the last several interstades during the Pleistocene???

Florida has bedrock. On top of that is limestone and then sand.

The Florida peninsula is about half as wide as it was 20k years ago. Back then, cave paintings indicates that a group of humans calls the Hoch clan decided to flood out the world coastline and kill off a bunch of cro magnons by starting fires to cook food. Florida shrank and eventually became the preferred living ground for Northeast Semites.

Marc may grudgingly accept it as settled when 197% of climate scientists agree.

And limestone is formed how?

By dead animals. Obviously, they would have been underwater had it not been SUVs driven by our ancestors.

How did dead sea animals for terrestrial stone? Because of climate change. And since climate change is only caused by evil humans then we must see what out ancestors did.
