Over 30 yrs ago in Denver we used to do this, and it was fun. Twenty of those GI issue trash cans filled by a Squadron of Airman can make one helluva snow pile. The third story was especially fun, all until one daredevil broke his leg. The commander didn't find it amusing and gave the dude an Article 15.
But that was the military, to all Bostonian's I say leap on for freedom!!!!

Could be the birth of the "Snow Party" political movement!!!

I don't see them passing an ordinance. It's more the mayor asking people to "not be an idiot."

That "big, fluffy snowdrift" might not be.

It could be frozen fairly solid (once it's plowed or shoveled, it gets hard enough to hurt).

There could be a metal fence, fire hydrant, entire car that you can't see.

The way stupid shit spreads on the internet, too many people are going to see this, think it's a good idea, not think it all the way through, and get hurt.

How many dumbasses got seriously hurt doing that "Ice Bucket Challenge" last summer?

So the mayor says: "Don't be a dumbass."

Of course, the real dumbasses are going to ignore him...

And get hurt. And then tie up EMS. And probably end up filing a lawsuit against the city for putting that hydrant, sign, fencepost or whatever under the "big, fluffy snowbank."
