The office did a good job to.Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
GeorgiaDon 380 #2 December 4, 2014 I agree with the sheriff, and thought he was very well spoken. It's interesting that the media picked up on the "hands in pockets" thing (and it's unfortunate that the police officer even mentioned it) when the relevant part is that the man walked back and forth six or seven times while staring into the store. Evidently the man had an innocent reason to do so, but I can't blame someone who has already been robbed at gunpoint seven times from being concerned #8 is imminent. It seems to me the shopkeeper had a valid reason to be nervous, and after some initial awkwardness the police officer and the "suspect" had a civil discussion and the matter was resolved. Everything went just as it should have. On the other hand it is interesting how such a non-event can be "spun" to generate "controversy", all in the interest of generating "looks" (or "clicks") and market share. kallend 2,150 #3 December 4, 2014 Hmmm - I must have walked up and down the aisle in the hardware store a dozen times yesterday trying to choose lights for my Solstice Tree. It was cold so I had my hands in my pockets. I'm truly grateful I wasn't tazed, shot or choked.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. mirage62 0 #4 December 4, 2014 Me to...any of these would have killed your skinny ass.... Truthfully I thought this was handled well. If they had been robbed as often I'd done the same thing. I think the P.O. handled it well. Question John. Do you think this would have been handled DIFFERENT in England? (same set up, high crime area suspicious - to the store owner - person) Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little

None were choked to death by cops either.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

The Yule fest is all about the three Dees - Drinking, Dining and Debauchery! To water down a good Pagan feast because it coincides with the Shortest Day is to completely miss the point. Decorate you tree, but do not fail to Eat, Drink and Copulate! BSBD, Winsor

However, it is most likely that both Yule and Saturnalia were deliberately aligned with the solstice, and not the other way around.
