I'll ask that you respect the man for his heroism and forgive him for his weaknesses.

Why should I? It's your self declared hero, not mine. He has no influence on anything internationl.

To be honest: I do not care. If you adore him, just do it.

Thank you for that. I appreciate your allowing me the opportunity.

Just remember this: Guys like him that are still active military are trying their best to keep terrorists from doing what they want to do, terrorize the world, INCLUDING Germany. So show some fucking respect.

What a nice mode of expression :S

I don't know what *fucking respect* is and surely don't need your explanation or advice.

Complex Question Fallacy is a question that has a presupposition built in, which implies something, but it is a fallacy that projects the assumed information implicit in the question and presupposes it as fact.

The presupposition is that changing the gun laws will decrease the number of school shootings. This may be the case, but it is a claim that is implied in the statement and hidden by a more complex question - which is actually a distraction from rejecting the implicit claim being made. It is quite brilliant, but still fallacious.

Perhaps you should state your opinion rather than engaging in fallacious questions in which any answer allows you to argue the opposite position. Nice try, though.

My question had nothing to do with changing any gun laws whatsoever. My question was exactly what I asked. You defended the man's statement by claiming that he had mental issues. Clearly from the man's statement, he is armed. Do you think that he should be allowed to walk around armed given that he is mentally unstable? I understand that he served his country and is a hero but that doesn't change the fact that he has mental issues and is walking around armed.

Just to clarify, I own guns, I am actually sitting at my desk cleaning one of them as I type this. I have no objection to people owning guns. You are the one that brought the man's mental health into the discussion, so I want to hear where you stand on someone like that walking around armed.

There are mechanisms in place to ascertain his level of stability and ability for gun ownership. MY "OPINION" is I do not believe him to be a threat to anyone unless threatened himself. A man like this has some core values regarding his country. He has the largest piece of paper on the planet stating such.

Guys like him are the problem!

Who needs terrorists when we have torturers at our door-steps? I for one don't see any difference between ISIS and the US.

Also, both kill men, women, and juveniles (even retards) in the name of justice. Whether it is a sword or by lethal injection, the result is the same.
