CameraNewbie 0 #1 November 19, 2014 During a crowded subway train ride, a young black man is talking to his girlfriend when a black woman grabs onto a stanchion. The guy gets upset about the woman's arm blocking his girlfriend's face. He gets pretty violent about it. Subway Bullsh*t #1 Repost from an older post of Subway Bullsh*t #2What do protesters want? BillyVance 35 #7 November 19, 2014 I never had any issues riding the NYC subways the handful of times that I did. The streets and highways are more dangerous. They don't fucking pave them often enough, and there are enough assholes driving. That said, I wasn't gonna let them motherfuckers push me around. I stood my ground and held firm when I had to. One time I was speeding through late at night but one dick refused to let me pass him. Got up to 90-95 at one point so I let him pull ahead with a sizable gap. BAM! Right into a speed trap. Yeah, that's right, bitch! billvon 3,120 #9 November 19, 2014 >Where did you live/work in NYC? A Chemical Bank building off Broadway near Wall St. I commuted from Oyster Bay. My commute was generally: 20 min car to Syosset 50 min LIRR to Atlantic Ave 15 min 4/5 train to Wall Street Glad I did it, glad I'm not doing it any more. muff528 3 #14 November 19, 2014 normissI don't think the thug that was waving his weapon around cared much about donuts. That is AGAINST THE LAW in NYC!! You could have scared the bejezzus out of him if you'd have demanded to see his permit or threatened to turn him in to the po-po. (bet he didn't have one!) It's even MORE against the law to open carry like he was doing ...even if he did have a permit. (well, unless he was a retired LEO or an armed guard ...or a celebrity.) Rickendiver 6 #15 November 20, 2014 I worked in NYC for six years at GCT, PABT & Penn Station - at all times of the day & night (sometimes 24 hrs). I've seen a ton of stuff that I'd like to forget, but I never got injured. I HAVE been hit by cars twice just crossing the street to get to the subway, though

freethefly 6 #17 November 21, 2014 Spent a few months testing the rails in the subway. Did the test at night due to low traffic. You see some crazy ass people at 3am. Seen the people who live down there. And yes, there are rats bigger than cats in those tunnels."...And once you're gone, you can't come back When you're out of the blue and into the black." Rickendiver 6 #18 November 21, 2014 Yep, I worked a lot on the 4-5-6 platform, TS Shuttle & food court at GCT- Those buggers would walk right out onto the platform late at night We started giving them names after a while
jimmytavino 16 #19 November 21, 2014 would prefer NOT to... ANY HUGE Large Urban area WILL have more than it's fair share of crazies.. the few visits i've made to NYC have been OK but I can live without being there.... be Sure... not to paint ALL of New York State. with the same brush as you would for THAT city... There, in the 21st century...."the melting pot " has turned into a cesspool of "what about ME "??? and " How about MY Culture " and " where can I GO, to get MINE"... idiocy... imo Tooo many people with Toooo many different agendas. Not enough harmony and getting along... NOT enough ELBOW Room... No wonder they live in buildings with 90 floors and they have to ride UNDER Ground >> The Rest of the state consists of lots of decent, sensible, hard working folks who Look out for each other ( Note The current crisis in Buffalo ) and who pay waaaaay tooo much in taxes.. !!!| Some have s aid that NYC should become a new State, Unto itself.... But they'd go bankrupt in 2 weeks from too many takers and not enough givers.....

I suspect we all have to do things we don't particularly care for, (riding the subway, flying coach, sitting in traffic jams...) but we do them anyway.... And the people who live in the city often think of the people in upstate New York as ignorant hicks, uninformed about any real issues, living in the boonies because they are unskilled/racist/uneducated/lazy and thus could never make it in the Big Apple. Needless to say, both stereotypes fail when you look more deeply into them.
riggerrob 643 #23 November 21, 2014 Same thing happened when I was driving a bus along East Hastings Street in Vancouver. A ... (insert derogatory comment) .... pedestrian stepped in front of my moving bus, forcing me to stomp on the brake pedal. One woman grabbed for the post near the back door. Unfortunately, she grabbed too close to another woman's face. The second woman interpreted this as an attempt to punch her ... even though the offending hand was firmly wrapped around the post. As soon as I saw the fight, I opened the rear doors and both fell out. Both combatants were "less than sober." I hate to sound racist, BUT they also both belong to a race that does not hold its liquor well. That race lacks a digestive enzyme that breaks down alcohol. Some people can handle their liquor and others can't. Wise people know which category they fit into.

jimmytavino 16 #25 November 22, 2014 hmmm Ok well maybe the term "cesspool " is a bit over dramatic, but the facts are..... the city is Old. the infrastructure is failing. The people tend to cluster into groups based on cultural similarities or countries of origin, from low economic levels to High society Big shots... My words may have come across as pointing out stereotypes... and so for that....I'm sorry... .. as for City folks thinking they have an idea about "Upstaters "... Unless they Have been there... they'd only be Guessing,, and 8 times outta 10 the guess would be Wrong......As for "could never make it in the Big Apple ".. that just might be a GOOD thing.... how about..?? " I Don't WANT to make it there.... I have already made it Here,,, " and here is better....
