wmw999 2,587 #2 October 29, 2014 I heard about this on the news this morning. I can't fucking believe it. It's worse than entrapment, in my mind. Wendy P.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. jakee 1,594 #3 October 29, 2014 That sounds so clearly and obviously illegal that it's hard to imagine what their reasoning is. Fundamentally they seem to be saying "Law enforcement agents can search your home without a warrant as long as you don't know they're law enforcement."Do you want to have an ideagasm? GeorgiaDon 379 #5 October 29, 2014 What is the worse crime: a) Betting on sports, an activity that people voluntarily engage in and that harms no-one but dumbasses who bet more than they can afford, or b) Trashing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights? I'll be appalled if this tactic stands up in court, and I would hope to see all the "decision makers" in this travesty fired, and ideally arrested and tried for civil rights violations. BIGUN 1,483 #6 October 29, 2014 Authorities later used the videos to obtain a warrant to arrest the men. A former federal prosecutor, Mark Rasch, said the ploy probably will not stand up in court. Ridiculous tactic. Talk about "Groupthink." The only thing missing was a "Here, hold my beer; watch this."Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. Don I never thought that civil cesure (forfeture?) would stand up either 20 years ago. Now when you get stoppwd for speeding the officer asks, "How much money do you have on you?" He can take it and say you are using it to buy drugs. Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done.
