Oh The Hatred

Recommended Posts

Truthfully I see some numbers that the Obama group will be happy about, others not so happy.

Personally I don't believe the Republicans will win enough to matter in the senate - they may be the majority but they won't have enough to override a veto.

I agree
They may be able to send bills to the president that he will then become responcible for
Since he is in constant campain mode he avoids having anthing hung on him
This may change with a Republican Senant

All of this was predicted in 2008 and severely warned about in 2012. Yet, here we are. This is what happens when the citizenry is snowed by false rhetoric and lacks the ability to recognize leadership qualities.

There's a couple or regular posters on this site who say they it is hatred when Obama is opposed

But somehow there was no hatred when they opposed Bush
Yet the rehtoric they used when speaking of Bush was much more vitriolic

And of course, if liberals keep thier views that shows education and thoughtfulnes
If conservatives to the same we are closed minded and un-educated

And of course your are correct
Obama seems to be much more of a puppet than Bush
But to point this out is racist and full of hatred

More open govenrment
Bring the courntry together
Keep your Dr
Keep your health plan
...and the list goes on

And yet we see the blind followers continue to march in his shadow

I will agree with some in another thread though
There are more similarities and differences between the last two presidents

This country needs a leader
I do not see one in the current crowd of canidates on either side
But in the end it is up to the people

Not sure if this is good anymore or not

As long as you refuse to accept the fact the president of the united states is nothing but a corporate sock puppet that does what his corporate masters tell him to, you don't really have much hope.

It doesn't really matter which shade of gray (repub/democ) he represents when ultimately the corporations and the bankers who bought his place in the white house have the say in what he does and doesn't do.

While one may argue corporations have too much influence, if it were as he says, Forbes and Romney would have both been president.

Well, according to some US government website Obama's budget was ~750 million $ where as Romneys was ~ 105 million $ in 2008, 722 vs. 450 in 2012. Maybe next time republicans can get the quarter of billion dollars required to buy the presidency.

With your sentence structure, grammar and spelling issues I am not sure what you are really saying here.

Are you advocating it might be better if "the people" don't vote, but a different form of government/leadership is established?

no, I am saying that the uninformed are putting in office what we have today.

I don't think they are uninformed at all. They are extremely informed, the question is what information they are getting and chosing to believe.

Further, the bipolarization of your society (and to some extent the Canadian society as well) is causing people to vote "for us" or "against them". The candicate or issues aren't important anymore.

Lastly, the US has a strong base of people who are almost completely single issue voters. Abortion and Gun Rights being on top of the list of deciding factors.
