An actual racially motivated rape spree

Rotherham child sexual exploitation report: At a glance

Quote

An estimate that 1,400 children were sexually exploited in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013 is among the key findings of an independent report by Professor Alexis Jay into the handling of child sexual exploitation (CSE) by social services and police in the South Yorkshire town.

Quote

Prof Jay's report describes the abuse as "appalling" and says it included the rape of girls as young as 11 by "large numbers of male perpetrators".

Children were raped by multiple attackers, trafficked to other towns and cities in the north of England, abducted, beaten and intimidated, the report revealed.

Some were doused in petrol and threatened with being set alight, while others were threatened with guns, made to watch "brutally violent rapes" and warned they would be next if they told anyone.

Quote

The majority of those behind the abuse were described as Asian, while the victims were young white girls.

Yet the report found that councillors failed to engage with the town's Pakistani-heritage community during the inquiry period.

Some councillors were said to have hoped the issue would "go away", thinking it was a "one-off problem".

The report said several staff members were afraid they would be labelled racist if they identified the race of the perpetrators, while others said they were instructed by their managers not to do so.

Several councillors interviewed believed highlighting the race element would "give oxygen" to racist ideas and threaten community cohesion.

Not only were the victims white but the perps were muslims. Yay for multicultural enrichment in society run by retards high on political correctness.

Did you misread?

I guess you have to first decide - what part of Asia is referenced. Then you have to make an assumption relating that local to religion.

regardless, it's a horrible situation

wouldn't it be easier to note that 100% of the perpetrators were creepy assholes that need to be locked up

The most populous muslim country in the world is in Asia.

Muslim does not equal middle east.

Native Israelis who immigrate to the US are Asian-Americans. Neat, eh?

One thing I kept thinking is why didn't the parents react to this?

In two cases, fathers had tracked down their daughters and tried to remove them from houses where they were being abused - only to be arrested themselves when police were called to the scene.

On one ocassion married father-of-two Arshid Hussain was even caught with the half naked schoolgirl under his bed but documents revealed that police arrested her - and let him go.

I can't event wrap my head around what it would be like to live in a place where authorities protect gangs of rapist that attack your children and you can't do anything about it. Well actually I can and it involves a lot of dead people.

Maybe some British folks can correct me if I got this wrong but my understanding is that when British say 'Asian' they mean someones from Pakistan/India, most of the time from Pakistan. They use the word 'oriental' when they want to imply what Americans mean by 'Asian'.

OK. Even then, there is a difference from someone from Pakistan or India (which is a nationality), someone who is Arab (which is a race) and someone who is Muslim (which is a religion.) And of course racism applies to race rather than to religion.

But saying "the perps were Indian or Pakistani" wouldn't generate nearly as much of an emotional reaction as "the perps were muslims" eh? Much more anger available in the latter.

While I'll admit to using the word muslim in hopes of getting a better reaction, I also used it because its true.

Ironically the Pakistani Muslims in Rotherham seem to condemn the behavior of the local authorities high on political correctness.

UK Pakistani community outraged over Rotherham sex abuse scandal

Quote

Rotherham, England: Members of Britain's Pakistani community have reacted with outrage amid reports officials failed to act on sex abuse cases because of concerns about racism in the northern English town of Rotherham.

Muhbeen Hussain, founder of Rotherham Muslim Youth Group, told the Daily Mirror on Wednesday that Muslims are disgusted that justice was not done - leading to some 1400 children being sexually exploited over a 16-year period, mostly by Pakistani men.

"Race, religion or political correctness should never provide a cloak of invisibility to such grotesque crimes."

...local authorities high on political correctness.

There's a little more to it than this. If you'll go over all the information that's been made public (read BBC news or the Guardian e.g.) you'll see that physical evidence (victim's clothing) was provided to police, and the police "lost" the evidence. Victims' families asked police for protection. The police told them they could not provide any. The cops were in on this. And they're white.
You don't have to outrun the bear.

Nope. Could be all of the above.
