I'd like to challenge your far right and far left folks here to go to realclearpolitics.com and for three months read articles from the other side. No cheating. You read ONE from your normal position and then ONE from the other position. You might learn something.

We've been reading The Week lately. It does provide some balance, both US-based as well as international.

Mostly digests, so not a whole lot of depth most weeks, but interesting. And the sudokus are really hard when they say "super-hard"

The Economist is also pretty good since it takes a non-US approach, and therefore doesn't heed the same ideological lines. However it does cover events in the US in some depth.

It is; I took it for years. and felt guilty when I didn't read it in enough depth :$. "The Week" is a little lighter than "The Economist." What can I say ...

The Economist' To Halt Production For Month To Let Readers Catch Up
News in Brief • World • ISSUE 47•16 • Apr 19, 2011

LONDON—World-renowned news and opinion magazine The Economist announced plans to suspend any new online and print content for the next month in an effort to finally allow subscribers a chance to catch up. "It's only fair to our readers," said Economist editor Winthrop Parker, adding that there was no reason for subscribers to feel ashamed for not necessarily knowing every last detail about the current economic and geopolitical climate. "Even just scanning over some of the feature stories can sometimes take two or three daily bus commutes to finish. After all, some of these issues have as many words in them as a short novel. No one should be expected to do that in one week." In related news, ESPN The Magazine announced Monday it would be suspending publication indefinitely until its readers learned to read.

I find it funny that the same person who dismisses polls of popular opinion as unimportant, thinks that viewship numbers are filled with meaning.

who is this person?

Well, to be fair, he only finds them unimportant when they show republicans doing poorly.

Actually
I enjoy liberals reactions to polls with which they disagree but
This thread is about ratings based on viewership
not polls

Well, fortunately most people aren't misinformed; FOX viewers just have a higher percentage of misinformed people than other viewer groups. (And BTW MSNBC isn't far behind; both FOX and MSNBC have more misinformed people than people who watch no news at all, per the last poll.)

I enjoyed your nonresponse to my mentioning that 60 Minutes crushes Fox News viewership figures, or that Fox's viewership is leaking too.
