Zep 0 #1 July 5, 2014 So those pesky little Tamils from Southern India not content with starting a terrorist war in Northern Sri Lanka (Ceylon), then after causing mayhem and murder, getting their butts kicked by the Sri lankas, now have the audacity to ask for asylum in Australia. The worst of it is that the bleeding hearts and the PC of Australia want to give those trouble makers free entrance. Fuck em send them back to their home land. I didn't say they were involved in any fighting. If they want political asylum their ancestral home is right next door. No I don't think every Basque is part of a terrorist movement, but every Basque person I know from Pays Basque wants out of the Spanish federation just like the Catalans. No. Don't try to spin it, The Tamils Emigrated to Sri Lanka they then tried by terrorist tactics to force the Sri Lankans to concede territory in the North East of Sri Lanka so they could establish a home land. I'm fully aware of the history of the Tamils. The thread was about the Australians and the bleeding hearts that live the there and who will never be affected by the devastation caused by the Asian immigrant. I understand it. Shame we haven't outgrown it. The irony is that this thread is a mirror image of the drooling, anti-immigrant xenophobia on full display in the "Courageous Americans confront illegal immigrants" thread currently going on in here. Different continent, same damn thing. Same irony, too: descendants of European immigrants whose disease, weapons and whiskey wrought genocide on the native/aboriginal population, now complaining about the current wave of immigration. As if their ancestors weren't enough of a pox on the land.

Zep 0 #13 July 6, 2014 "If the people on the boats weren't terrorists themselves then what is the relevance of terrorist actions by other Tamils?" None, If the Tamils on the boat were not terrorists (and I have no reason to suspect that they were) then the only relevance is by association. The whole point of this is that Australia has some of the toughest immigration laws in the world, A lot of would like to emigrate there by using the proper channels only to be refused, I don't see the bleeding heart brigade standing up for them. If some one wants to start a new life in a different country then then use the proper channels. "If a guy from Northern Ireland comes to your restaurant do you frisk him for nail bombs?" Why would I do that. Gone fishing

QuoteThe whole point of this is that Australia has some of the toughest immigration laws in the world, A lot of would like to emigrate there So a bunch of european murderers who used genocidal tactics to force the aboriginies to concede territory in Australia now think they're entitled to keep it all for themselves. Additionally, I don't count the slaves as "illegals" as it wasn't really their doing . . . The fact is, there was no "legal" or "illegal" immigration laws when the vast majority of the lower 48 was settled, simply "quotas" on certain races that were not welcome. So, in that regard my guess is the VAST majority of people reading this, their grandparents weren't burdened by such nonsense. Sure, there will be exceptions, but none of the branches in my family tree were ever concerned with being "illegal" because that simply wasn't a legal factor at the time they immigrated.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

So you will have to excuse me for not being as trusting or welcoming to these Muslim immigrants coming in. Next thing you know, they start banding together and demanding they be allowed to rule their own communities with "sharia law". Get enough of them in the US to elect their own representatives in state and US govt, and you can expect some real issues down the road.
