jclalor 12 #1 June 19, 2014 I've always been impressed by soldiers who will throw them self on a grenade to shield their comrades from certain death. CPL Carpenter did just that and today he received the nations highest award from the Commander in Chief. As I watched the president describe the grenade incident for the ceremony, I did not notice the deep bitter contempt that some say our CIC shows towards our troops. He looked very at ease with these men, and they with him. On a side note, I checked out the most common way that the CMOH was won in Vietnam. The majority was throwing your body on a grenade. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Medal_of_Honor_recipients_for_the_Vietnam_War
