You sure about that? I see at least four other threads that would be deleted if such a rule were implemented. Like they say, be careful what you wish for.

The BHO administration was reluctant to provide adequate military force to rescue Captain Phillips in the Maersk Alabama incident.

They were "reluctant to" but ended up getting a battle group and Navy Seals there within a couple days?

And then they had to stand down on deck until the ship captain gave the order to shoot. The SEALs could have made that rescue within 24 hours if it had not been for BHO's ROE.

That's a lovely story. Shame it's undermined by being total bollocks tho.

How do you know? Why was he murdered?

From the Dailybeast:

When I heard that the House of Representatives has established a select committee to investigate the attack on Benghazi that left several Americans dead in 2012, I couldn't help but wonder what these same legislators might have done had Barack Obama been president in 2003, and had the audacity of George W. Bush to attack a sovereign country that had no relevant connection to the 9/11 attacks with the result that nearly 5,000 Americans and well over 100,000 Iraqi civilians (many of them women and children) perished. Had Obama’s war in Iraq also cost American taxpayers $1.7 trillion, with another $490 in veteran expenses (thus far)—with a total cost of $6 trillion projected—I have no doubt that a select committee would long ago have sent him to the Hague for trial as a war criminal.

So where is YOUR outrage, Ron, over the THOUSANDS killed in Iraq following an invasion based on lies?

You keep bringing that up. I have no outrage.

In 2003 the known evidence justified the invasion period. According to your figures, we retaliated at the rate of 125:1, counting the 9/11 murders. I'm OK with that. Over there is Israel and the Mideast enemies. Bottom line GWB had balls. BHO, well....

In Vietnam we had the Pathet Lao, VC, NVA and Chinese. They were all the enemy and all viable targets.

Life is not fair and neither is God. Once you understand the concept all else falls into place.

And you didn't say why he was killed?

Some people are just better at believing bullshit being spoonfed to them than others are. But you know how it goes... some guys like whimpy George and Little Dicky needed to "butch it up" for their PNAC buddies... What are a few thousand American lives when there are TRILLIONS in perceived oil profits to be made. Our young people were just pawns to be sacrificed by those Crazy Brave Patriotic CHICKENHAWKS [:/]

See, there you are.

It is difficult to grasp American concepts unless you have been born and raised here. Don't feel bad. I can't grasp how you can accept being born into royalty. Over here royalty must be earned by great effort. Sometimes it is even applauded by the masses.

Your vague handwaving attempt to avoid the subject is rather easy to see through. Try being more specific: which American concept in the discussion of whether or not Jack Wheeler is more full of shit than a festival portaloo am I not getting?

I never heard of PNAC before. We don't talk about such things in my circle. So, I looked it up. Seems like a workable plan to me. Workable for a social profit motive that is.

There are spiritual goals and there are social goals. I think about the ones that are doable and have a high probability for success. The gospel of Jesus Christ with the power of Pentecost is the best for the former. Free market worldwide capitalism is the best for the latter. There will be casualties in both spectrums. I do not plan on being one. I am a survivor.

Too bad about that, I bet very few who voted for the Shrub did any research on who he was beholdin to.. Personally I like to research and understand who owns a candidate...I think you might want to do that since it should make a difference in who you vote for.

I met the Bush brothers in 2000 at the start of GWB's campaign. I just instantly liked him. Sometimes a solid character will do that for me.

PS. Knowing about the PNAC at the time would not have bothered me then either.

Now, which American concepts are involved in whether you've been taken hook, line and sinker by Wheeler's fantasy?

And why do you think he was killed? Any idea at all, or did you bring it up for no reason?

You're okay with retaliating against people who had nothing to do with 9/11? Even in hindsight?

You really need to do some self-examination on that.

First of all, you claimed we were exacting retaliation for 9/11. Now you're saying we were trying to depose Hussein. Which was it?

Secondly, this is your position (as I understand it):

1. Ends justify the means.
2. The US should continue to be the world police, invading every country that has an evil dictator.

If so, that's very scary.
