lawrocket[Reply]the United States isn't a democracy any more. And they've found that in fact, America is basically an oligarchy.
An oligarchy is a system where power is effectively wielded by a small number of individuals
435 people, plus a President and his bureaucrats, wield power. It's not a democracy. Never has been. Just a LOT more power has been concentrated in the legislature.and executive in the past several decades.
Well, I didn't think YOU of all people would be paying no attention to the men behind the curtain.

I think that group has had far more of an effect on the future of America than anything the other two branches have done. They were elevated not elected without the will of the people to do just what they have done.. to hand our country over to their masters. It is a flaw in the system that the founders never forsaw.
I don't think that the SCOTUS is any more powerful now than it was 200 years ago. I think Congress and the Executive branches have orders of magnitude more power than they did 200 years ago. I think they have orders of magnitude more power than 100 years ago.
That's why I left them off. Power is no more concentrated in the federal courts than it has been for a long time.

Quote435 people
Typo? At least I hope so.
A couple of seconds searching had this ( which I was sure of ):
Congress has 535 voting members: 435 Representatives and 100 Senators.

Wrong curtain. SCOTUS isn't in hiding.
Try again.

Why is Kallend reposting? This is the same "scientific study" (in reality, paper by political scientist) he talked about last week.
1. No it isn't.
2. No-one forces you to read my posts.
